So it can't be evaporated or otherwise destroyed by magical flame?

Also, apologies for the delay. I didn't receive an update for the past several days worth of posts.

here is the section directly from the MM with some minor rewording not to try and give the creature away. "Spells have no effect on this monster, nor do fire or cold based attacks. Effects only (specific type of thing at an alarming rate.) Looks like wet stone, rarely thicker than 6 to 8 inches. Strikes like a snake (when it attacks)." This only has a movement rate of 1 so it doesn't move a whole heck of a lot.

Well, no way any of us could know that in character as we haven't encountered one before.

correct. I'm trying to decide how much all this takes to get the thing to attack though. probably if Yagul stands in/on it much longer it will strike out of annoyance.

Just an FYI, the wife and I will be on vacation between 8/20 and 8/28. I may not be entirely responsive with regards to this game during that period.

Thank you for the heads up Zeromancer. I was laid up yesterday strained my lower back. Sorry about my lack of DM posting.

Well to top things off letter in the mail today from the landlord they are selling all their rental properties...and right now the market is selling places for more than they are worth and rental market here is fairly dead/non-existent especially if you want to keep your pets. So fun times... but hey at least my back is feeling a bit better.

We can't find any rentals where we are. No one is moving, unless they're selling their home. Renters are staying put.

That's about the same here, only renters that are moving are the ones where their landlords are selling like my situation. Also due to the lower case numbers in VT lots of folks are moving here from other states I'm supposing to try and flee from their higher COVID case counts. Though it all has turned the housing market into a crazy upping of pricing to sell homes for now. Which I can see is one reason landlords are selling out of the renting business. That and prior COVID eviction restrictions that have been lifted more recently, but not all of us renters in the world were bad and took advantage of that. At any rate all I am doing is trying to think of logical reasons for stuff like I am now going through... but hey i suppose things could always be worse....

A house down the road from me was bought for 135,000 6 years ago, it was on the market for 3 days and sold for 250,000 to a couple from Boston. Apparently its going to be there escape home in case its gets any worse in Boston. They think they got a steal at that price.

Yeah, that is like the house next to me that is on the market for $259,000 it has slightly less than a quarter of an acre was built in 1850 has 5 BR 3 bath. I am fairly certain the folks that moved in there back in 2018 that are selling it now only paid $185,000. Plus there are things that need fixing still I am sure since i worked with the last owner who admitted he was no handyman. I know nothing was added to increase the property value. The market is just nuts.

Back from vacation and ready to roll once again. Checking up on what I missed. Seems that it's a rust monster of some sorts? It dissolves steel but otherwise doesn't seem to harm any other material?

it's an ooze/slime family creature that only apparently affects metal per what info I have in the MM and other sources.

Apologies. I've been preoccupied with a partially torn MCL and a hard drive failure, resulting in both physical and mental anguish... le sigh.

Sorry for the hold up on my part again. It's going to be rough on my end in RL until probably after November. Still trying to work out where we are going to live after November. So I spend a lot of my off of work time searching all sorts of websites looking for anything listed that the wife and I can afford that allows us to maintain our rescue pets and has enough rooms for the teenage kids.
