Uther

Uther lingered near the shield mosaic for awhile as the others ignored the antiquated bit of art and the door that lay beyond in favor of the staircase. The shrouded wizard took a knee and studied the work for a few moments, attempting to discern its purpose.

Spellcraft (16/2) [1d20]=9

OOC: Well, it was a bit of a long shot anyway. Attempted to utilize the Spellcraft NWP's ability to identify magical constructs for what they truly are, assuming that the mosaic was a magical construct at all, that is. Needed 1/2 the normal success rate, which a 9 just missed.

Ferris

I think we should enter this room but be careful not to trample on the shield mosaic. I cannot detect any trap physically upon it but such arcane divinations may be placed such as glyphs of warding and curses.

The gnome advises caution to Shade and Uther and jumps across the shield to enter beyond.

Yagul

Yagul will search the room, being careful of the mosaic. "It seems to me if you were going to hide a secret door, the mosaic would be the place."

Nothing is found in the room it merely is a small hallway leading to the other door. No traps are detected on the other door though it appears to be locked.

McTavish

"Maybe we should have someone try to pick the lock?" said McTavish as he looked around at everyone. "If not, we can simply bash the door open." continued the dwarf.

Monty "The found stairs going up in the next room over, and we still never checked the west side of the hallway." the paladin reminds McTavish and Yagul.

Two things you notice entering this room 1. Three walls of the room contain wooden racks. The racks hold rusty swords, sabers, rapiers, maces, hand axes, battle axes, and other hand weapons. 2. There is another four armed skeleton creature much like the one you defeated earlier.

Flashes of light reflect off the sharp weapons of a skeleton with four arms, which dances speedily toward you as you enter this room. Twin pinpricks of blue light emanate from its dark eye sockets. It holds a two-handed sword, a hand axe, and a sword in its hands.

Map rough guesses as to places people are please correct me if I am wrong.

McTavish

The Dwarf hears something clicking and clacking on the floor towards them. Immediately McTavish makes his way to Ferris and Yagul to see a four-armed skeleton coming their way brandishing weapons intent on harm.
With a grim look on his face McTavish reaches for his holy symbol, giving a quick look at everyone the Dwarf faced the skeleton. "Let me deal with this unholy abomination!" barked McTavish. Holding the holy symbol close to his heart McTavish prayed to his God to grant him the power to turn the undead. Feeling the power within him rise, McTavish calls out to the skeleton "Go back to the shadow from where ye' dwell!!" as he thrusts his holy symbol forward as if it were a sword in the direction of the skeleton.

You find once more the turning has no effect on the creature.

McTavish

Seeing that his prayers went unanswered, McTavish angrily stuffs the holy symbol back into his pocket and grabs hold of his warhammer. "If my God won't grant me the strength to grind this skeleton into fine powder then my Dwarven strength will!!" roared McTavish as hobbles towards the skeleton in fury swinging his warhammer.

Uther

Uther peered into the room as some of the others entered ahead of him. He surmised that this encounter was best handled by the melee combatants. However, while the battle began, the wizard pondered whether a web spell could anchor the construct in place and allow the others to disarm it with lessened risk to themselves.

OOC: To DM: Does it seem possible that the construct can be ensnared in a web? The room does have sufficient anchor points, but would the strands also grab a hold of any melee fighters?

OOC to Zeromancer: Yes you think if you can get a clear view you might be able to at least pin the constructs weapon arms or weapons in a webbing however like all things with others rushing into melee it is possible that some of them might get snared as well. If you want we can add an INT roll into it using Uther's wits he devises a quick plan that should have the least amount of chance in snaring anything other than the construct if he passes.

To All: I'll update this once everyone is set on their actions. I will also add an action for Monty.
