Greetings -

Remember these Time Life books?

I'm downsizing my 'library' and was wondering if anyone was passionate about having these before I give them to Goodwill. I have the first 6 or 7 in the series and happy to send them to someone looking to give them a good home. All in good condition.

I have a bunch of those as well. Languishing in my garage :(
They are fantastic books! I know I'm missing some, but definitely they could go to a better home than mine :D
They are really well put together, beautiful books. I still get mine out every so often!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

I had these as well, very nice books. I passed them along to my godson. Ed, if your kids are into that sort of thing they are worth getting.

Well Rex my son hates to read and is 13 and my daughter is 17 so not entirely sure either would be into it. But I haven't looked up what they are still. Honestly never heard of them.

Ok so mythology, fairytales, folklore and all of that if the wikipedia entry I found is right my daughter might actually like those but hard to say without asking her.

That is correct on what they are. Neat reads. Certainly something to ask first but you never know until you try.

I'm interested. Heck I'm into mythology still so who knows if none of the kids read them my wife and I might just read them.

Out of curiosity, anyone have the following two books to lend/sell me? Author passed away and they are out of print (publisher, amazon, and ebay also don't have them). Appreciated!

Author: Dave Duncan

Books: One Velvet Glove, Ethical Swordsman

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with either, either.

I do see that the 'One Velvet Glove: A Tale of the King's Blades' is available as an audiobook, though.

Maybe a library?

Thanks! Audiobook could be a last resort :) I never listen to books like that (podcasts, yes, but not books).

Library is a good idea - just searched a bunch in the area but nothing!

Thank you!

You could try a used book search if you haven't already. I have purchased used books from a couple of different places online. This one doesn't have either right now but I have used them in the past with success.
