Thanks, Tibbius! The server for the forums is in Utah, the server for the roller is in Arizona. And I live about 25 miles south of the Bobcat fire, in the Los Angeles area, with all of those 25 miles being concrete and metal! If it reached as far as us, I'd just jump in the ocean!

Anyway, I don't know exactly what the problem was, and the two sites being down at the same time (or similar times) was merely coincidence. While I contacted both hosting companies, the solution was just to wait for them to resolve whatever problem(s) they were having. That's usually the case.
