Alright. I am going into be honest. I am off work and stuck at home. I hope you all are safe and well.

But I am going stir crazy.

My company has gone to two shifts to reduce the number of people in the office by half, and then has an intensive cleaning between shifts. I'm on the 3pm-11pm shift. I can still post from work, I just can't access the dice roller page, it's blocked by my company's firewall.

My gaming club has also suspended meetings per the governor's directive but we're thinking of starting a play-by-email game, either the D&D boardgame Legend of Drizzt, or the old Advanced HeroQuest.

I know a lot of people on second shift. I learned Roll20 to shift my Friday Night group online yesterday.

I am homeschooling my daughter, but she's visiting her mom this weekend. (Social distancing can't trump court orders.) Going to dig my gardens and powerwash my deck soon. At least I have paid leave.

I am lucky.

I am working more than before. Worked a double yesterday as we tried to make sure everything keeps moving. I will probably try and get out and hike 8 to 10 miles with the dog this afternoon to wind down. I am in charge of the off shift labs at a pharmaceutical facility so we need to keep supplies heading to the front lines so to speak, but also keep our staff safe and focused, which in all the chaos is harder than you might think.

Thanks for keeping essential pharmaceuticals coming! Taking care of your people is important and hard.

Stay safe, all of you. I have several extra hours every day due to the short commute, but not everybody's so lucky.

Beautiful day here, sunny a bit of wind and about 20F. Only ended up doing 2 hours, so maybe 6 miles or so but the trails are pretty muddy with some patches of ice still. My white dog now has a black belly.

I'm not going into work, but at least I'm still getting a paycheck. They might have me go in one day a week to checks status of my application (I'm a software engineer) and then leave again.

I think I'm one of the lucky ones--my job can be done remotely, and as my contract advances more and more of the work *has* to be done remotely.

Everyone's idea of lucky is different I suppose, as I have no desire to work from home and enjoy getting out and interacting with others. Glad it is working out for you.

I work at a residential treatment facility for teens. So we are also essential enough not to close. On top of that staff has been getting thinner due to various reasons, which has led to a fair amount of overtime. I am still here though, Haar hasn't fled the adventure yet!
