So where is everybody? Have we approached either of the mounds yet or are we still grouped where we met Filbert? Filbert has his bow ready. Jacor will take out his sling and put a stone in it for a quick ranged attack if necessary.

Endor has his crossbow out and loaded as well. We have to be extra patient in these trying times.

Blaive is gonna have his sling out as well but I think we're waiting for Sirravd to return before moving forward.

With Tyson the mastiff and the two npc's (I suspect they will guard not work as hired men), we should all be able to take turns swinging hammers and picks if neccessary. Course not sure what we find on the first mound yet. Might already be scavenged. I have a feeling that most likely the crypts nearest the track entrance will have been searched by other adventure groups.

What would constitute a good 1st expedition?

Mapping the above ground site, noting key features and ruins?
Excavate the first mound.
Create a safe camp for an overnight stay.
Excavate and search some more.

We have provisions for several days. The key will be combat resolutions. If too injured to carry on, out of healing spells, fatalities.

Harker just wants to find some gold and trinkets initially, with a view to a deeper exploration when we know more of what dangers we face.

I think we should set up camp and explore the area. See how many mounds we can find, and maybe try to enter one that looks like it hasn't been explored yet.

Mapping the mounds sounds like a great idea to me, it would be nice to crack one open as well before we camp/head back.

I am presuming that Mal, Quall, Blaive and Jacor are checking out the second north door?

Re opening doors, you have three options:
(1) roll an open doors check (with the aid of a crowbar if needed)––no noise, very little time;
(2) open the door after having failed the check––takes 1 turn;
(3) bash the door down––takes very little time, but makes enough noise to warrant two wandering monster checks.

Sorry for not being around guys. I was in the hospital with spinal meningitis for awhile. It was a real scary time for me and my family. I'm trying to get back into things and I just don't have the motivation to post for this game right now. I'm so sorry but I just can't do it. I hope everyone understands.

Are you still looking for another player?

I don't mind players dropping in or out of games but just be honest.

So who is left? Jacor, Harker, Hector, Blaive & Endor?

I wonder if it worth pushing the forum recruiting back on to the LfP so that others could join and replace lost players.

Either that or we look at hiring retainers long term.
