Mission 7:  BBQ for Lupper!
Ralph's Pink Flamingo
Making the Plans... And Break!
August 23, 2018, 3:10pm
Hot and Windy but smells like BBQ and exhaust?

Plans are made and exchanged. Equipment is checked, and the readings from the PKEs are staying steady. No doubt the Class 4 is in there and seemingly not moving. They check the 2-way radio feature on the phones and it chirps, indicating that they are ready to go. Well, not Mac's. Mac's phone is with the ghosts now...

Joker & Jason Stay back and then head towards the kitchen door behind the cafeteria line. One cannot help but smell the hanging scent of what promises to be really good food before HotHog and Cypork demolished the place; however, once they open the door....

Lionel, Mac, & Roy Agree to go around back and try to flank the powerful ghost inside the kitchen. Luck presents itself when they realize the hole from Crypork's first charge knocked a large hole into the adjacent store. It seems to be a small boutique but is now abandoned as when the chaos broke out, they took the hint and escaped. Even more luck is to be had when they realize there is a straight shot to the left for the back door, promising that there is also a back door for the Kitchen of Ralph's place.

Since it is down and around before up, I am going to say that it will be at the end of next turn that you can make it to the back door.

Back to Jason and Joker. If you want a surprise when you get to the kitchen, please don't click the spoilers button. :)
As Jason pushes the door open with Joker right behind him, they walk into not the clean chef's kitchen they would have expected, but a horror show of blood splatters on the walls, ceilings, countertops, and pooled on the floor. There are distinct hand smudges scattered about and as the two take in the terrible sights, it only gets worse. You see what you are sure to be a few human pieces scattered about and in the trash bin.

The worst of it is a young man and a middle-aged woman laid out in platters, tied up and smothered in bbq sauce and spices, each have an apple shoved deep into their mouths. Both of them give muffled yells, obviously alive and conscious.

Then there is the ghost, Holding a large meat cleaver in one hand and an equally intimidating butcher knife in the other. He is VERY human-like but has the head of an eyeless pig that is both oversized and looks more like a mask but hollow, topped with a chef's hat.
It wordlessly tilts it's head as it turns to you wordlessly. The lips seem turned up into an almost Glasgow smile. Both implements are brought up to cross over his chest like some demented Egyptian pharaoh, then lower to behind the necks of his two victims, at which point he also quickly raises both, wordlessly but threateningly in a clear manner.

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

What the hell? If he's speaking Turkish, things must be going bad. We should hurry- they may be in trouble! Lionel begins hurrying to the door.

Mother of God... Jason swears softly as he sees the horror show in front of him, You better back off Bacon Bit, your pets are in the deep freeze and your gonna join them. He seethes at the ghost stepping twords him without even realizing, and forcing his emotions into every word. Why dont you pick on someone your own size, he takes another step to the western side of the kitchen, ...well, COME ON! SOO PIG. And he brings his wand up to his chest.
Jason is readying a shot for as soon as the ghost gets clear of the hostages, or to run. Whichever seems more appropriate to the ghosts reaction. Also AWESOME ghost!

J & J
Pyg holds up the knife and waves it side to side slowly while shaking his head as if to say "no, no, no..." Still, his blades remains dangerously close to the hostages.
The Flanking Team are able to make it to the door at this point. How do you move forward from here? Are you going to bust in the door? Peek inside? Get on the radio? 1960's Dance Scene Transition?

Mac busts the door in.

Muscle +1 Brownie Points [5d6] = 16 Ghost [1d6] = 6
When Mac and the rest come bursting in, they see a horror show unfolded between them and their two teammates. Please see the spoiler section if you have not already. :)

The Pyg turns his head and locks his empty eye sockets with the Break-In Team, and with a very mundane, almost bland and unamused human-like voice: Oink.

It raises its arms in the air and the kitchen ERRUPTS as all the contents seem to go into action! The Smoker, Ovens, and Stovetops all open up wide and begin shooting jets of flames; the sinks and hoses begin shooting turrets of steaming hot water; and every pot, pan, skillet, plate, bowl, knife, spoon, fork, and skewer begin flying around the air, ricocheting off the walls and back again!

Okay. Everyone roll me 3 hard moves. If you miss any one of them, it jumps to a reroll of that failed one along with the following one at impossible. Everyone is being actively attacked at the same time from all directions but behind for now, but if you fail one of the Hard Rolls, you have dodged wrong and fall into the chaos meaning you are getting it from 360 degrees.

Once those reactions and then your rolls are in, I am going to do some rolls to see what sticks and how for damage. As always: Good Luck!

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

As the kitchen explodes with activity and threats from every direction, Lionel remains calm, able to sense danger he cannot see, turning just enough for objects to pass by within a hair of him. Years of covering kickoffs and evading blind-side blocks while running at a full sprint have honed his instincts to an almost Spidey-sense level.

remember all of you have options for this sort of thing at the bottom from Christmas. You can spend your action point to reroll any roll with no ghost die in the mix to muddle things up.

Joker

[Moves: 2]
[1d6] = 1 ghost [1d6] = 5

If I'm reading it right, this is a fail...

re-roll +4 bp [5d6] = 24 ghost [1d6] = 2

Roy continues to try and move into position to deploy the trap in this flanking plan.
