Re: OOC and MIA
Proof-of-life post.
Apologies for unexplained absence - I was burdened with workmen, post-workmen clean-up, deadlined work of my own, and non-working internet connections.
Now I have a brief interlude from those distractions, I shall get my head back into gaming.

Lovely to have you back!
I knew you were busy and I do sympathize. Fortunately my current outbreak of builders are the outside variety which is much more soothing... or at least less "invasive"...

Re: OOC and MIA
Ours were/will be both in and out.
The window that was broken on installation was fixed today (unexpectedly and unannounced). The two men who fitted the windows did not reappear - the guy who measured up originally turned up and did the job on his own.
Of course, the frames of three out of four windows still leak when it rains, so the new plaster isn't drying properly.

Drumhead court martial. Field execution - guillotine by sash window. The Bindoner wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 10:35 pm The window that was broken on installation was fixed today (unexpectedly and unannounced). The two men who fitted the windows did not reappear...
The "Captain of Conservatories" himself and the Foreman Fitter from the Factory (he puts the "F" in factory) are due to partially strip and re-lay the roof / deal with our leak. If ever we stop collecting other people's half finished weather...The Bindoner wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 10:35 pm Of course, the frames of three out of four windows still leak when it rains, so the new plaster isn't drying properly.
Your "irrigated" sections of plaster might need replacing meaning another visit from the "Master of Mess"...
Re: OOC and MIA
Slight "logistical pause" due to the impending festivities, etc.
Should get an update in on Saturday night (UK).
Would have been tonight but I'm celebrating British Thanksgiving (which occurs every Friday) by eating and drinking and ending up in the pub...

Oh, but we do need it! We are deep in the "dark and miserable" season and the Solstice celebrations, Mithras' Birthday (same day as that other fellow... odd), Xmas parties, etc are barely on the horizon!
Woke up to release the hounds this morning and discovered that daylight had been rationed and we had to make do with "blizzard" instead... Harrumph, I need my brown pub and brown beer!

Anyone would think that you were one of those soft southerners from the complaints!Tiglath wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2023 5:24 pm Oh, but we do need it! Re: OOC and MIA
Merry Crimble and Happy Holidays to all.
Re: OOC and MIA
Yes indeed.
Merry Xmas one and all.
Thanks to all for your contribution to the game and forbearance with the vagaries of the GM.
I'll resume with a summary (and possibly a new map) after 29th (between holidays travel for me).
PS To shaidar I'm unsure if your IC reply to Turner is complete and ready for the main action thread or still pending as a WIP. No rush though - see above!
Re: OOC and MIA
I think it needs an adjustment, I'll post something by the end of the week.
I wasn't going to post a combat type action until we got a new map.
Re: OOC and MIA
That's all fine! We can catch all up on the re start.
I was momentarily fearful that you might be suffering from the same level of (absent) mindfulness as the GM whereby having written something somewhere is often immediately equated with actually having posted it IC...
Re: OOC and MIA
Busy times RL (all of the better sort - work on the house and a gaming weekend) hope to post something tomorrow Thursday (UK) or otherwise Sunday.
Re: OOC and MIA
No probs, enjoy your weekend.
Re: OOC and MIA
Apols for slackness of late I've been prepping (painting) for a game weekend.
Normal (dis)service shall resume Sunday!

Re: OOC and MIA
I have reason to believe he's busy with a wrench elsewhere!
I do believe The Bindoner has gone and that BackworldTreveller has some difficulties so story focus will reflect that. Big game weekend and kids back from Uni has me RL busy but I'll get something up tonight.

Re: OOC and MIA
Apologies. I wanted to give others a chance to post, and then I got diverted onto some maintenance.
I shall post later today, although it's likely to be just having the lovely lady taken elsewhere while we talk about Rond.
