Tony and Betty cautiously approach the mummies to investigate, giving "the pit" a healthy berth. Starting with the mummy in the middle, Tony will "dissect" them as he did he others in the other room, with the tip of his long sword.
Betty will move forward to visually inspect the nearest Frog to determine it's purpose.

Einstein will walk up to the edge of the pit. He will shine his light down into the pit to see what he can see.

Arya ascends the dias and approaches the granite statue for closer examination. The 5ft high, geometric edifice nearly clips the ceiling and she looks the carving over for suspicious features.
Tony and Anne steer clear of the floor grate and search over the mummies. Anne makes sure they are not hollow and serving as a nest for spiders. Tony picks apart the mummies with the tip of his long sword. They are in the same condition as those found in the other sealed chambers. Around the neck of the center mummy is a rotted leather cord tied to a bronze key.
Betty and Zeek move to the nearest bronze amphibian and inspect it. The urn is empty and has old residue coating the sidewalls, indicating a fire once burned inside. Between the cast frog’s eyes is a raised icon shaped like a spider.
Convinced that the statue is solid granite, Arya feels for gaps around green gems to facilitate prying them loose. When she touches the first gem, the green glyphs and symbols on both the dias and the floor, crackle and disappear in a ’POOF’ of white smoke.
While Arya is investigating the granite totem, Einstein stands at the edge of the grate and uses his glowing orb to peer into the presumed pit. Through the bronze casting, shaped like a web, he briefly glimpses a pile of skulls and bones 10ft below before the glyphs vaporize and the pit is filled with a green mist!
Multiple gaseous tentacles rapidly burst forth and flail out and about, threatening to envelope all in the room!

Betty quickly makes her way to the room's entrance, Tony dives behind the pillar nearest him, putting it between himself and the tentacles. Looking for an opening, he'll make his way to the southern wall in an effort to skirt around the tentacles toward the exit.

Unsure how screwed we are, Einstein checks to see if the door to the chamber with the gas tentacles can be resealed.
Does Einstein smell a smell similar to the smell from the frog room's "poison" gas?
If the tentacles continue to advance, and seem like they might reach out of the pit room, Einstein will continue to retreat, otherwise, he'll watch to see what happens to those caught by the smoke.

Betty, Tony and Arya cough violently and belch-out the mist tentacle. They stumble and rush out of the room to join the others in the throne vault, opposite this chamber. Each feels an intense burning sensation in their mouth, throat and lungs, but are cognitively unaffected by the haunting cloud.
OOC: Each has their Stamina reduced by 2 points.
Zeek retreats to the southern edge of the throne room.
Anne struggles with the green, non-corporeal appendage but is unable to break free. Tethered to the misty form, she is anchored in place and unable to move. (-2 Stamina)
A green haze continues to obscure the room, gently floating about.
Einstein realizes the round door to the tentacle chamber cannot be resealed without struggling to place it back into the frame, avoiding the acid trap in the door and pouring molten lead around its perimeter. He determines that this vapor is different from what was triggered in the hollow frog statue. It does not appear to be leaving the chamber.
