"SirHonskalot! Unleash the wrath of Arioch over this ominous mist!" scream the rice farmer to her goose, a shy tear falling to the dusty ground. She starts to laugh then, feeling her end is near, hoping she will dance naked in the court of chaos.
Zeek just shut his eyes, feeling sorry for Anne. Everybody is safe here, so there's no reason to risk going after her.

Einstein moves back to the space between the doors, and sadly watches the tentacle holding Anne. Are the other tentacles doing anything?
Can he see anything that looks like the "lid" that was depicted in the drawings in the area around the pit? Are there any drag marks on the ground (that he can see from the door) that look like... I dunno, like the frogs might have slid over to cover the pit or something?

Arya holds her breath and enters the room. She moves to help Anne, who is clearly choking on the mist tentacle inserted into her throat.
OOC: Arya may take an action this round.
Anne struggles against the non-corporeal fog appendage (-2 STA). Unable to speak, she motions for help as Arya enters her field of vision.
Zeek is unable to find courage to help his friend and companion.
Einstein moves into the corridor between the round entry doors. He watches the tentacles sprouting from the pit, trying to determine their intent. The mist-form hooked into Anne continues anchoring her in place, but the others have begun to dissipate and their disparate green parts float about the chamber.
He scans the room for a lid, like that shown in the wall murals, but doesn’t see anything that could be used to cover the grate.
Tony and Betty move behind Einstein and watch the scene with horrific fascination, amazed that Arya has chosen to renter the room!

Arya works the blade of her dagger to and fro though the nebulous green tentacle choking Anne. The elf’s action briefly draws wisps of vapor away from her companion’s body, but they soon return into the envelope of the ghostly appendage.
The weapon is not having any permanent effect.

Zeek rushes into the chamber and grabs ahold of Anne’s arm, tugging against the nebulous tentacle. Arya, seeing that her weapon is useless against the mist, grabs the rice farmer’s other arm and joins Zeek. The two gain firm footing against the stone floor and begin to pull Anne away from the non-corporeal appendage, but are stopped by the entities powerful tow.
Both sides are in stasis.
OOC: Anne loses 2 more points of Stamina.

Einstein runs over to the statue, trying to avoid actually crashing into the tentacles. Messing with the statue summoned the tentacles, so he will examine the statue for any sign of an off switch.

Jolted into action by the others, Tony and Betty rush in to help free their companion. Tony attempts to burn the tentacle(s) while Betty attempts to disrupt the tentacle(s) by 'whiffing' her staff rapidly through them.

Avoiding the swirling forms that were once ghostly appendages, Einstein runs over to the stone statue and thoroughly examines it. The gambler looks for any indication that a mechanism could eliminate the mist or close the floor grate. He frantically searches, to no avail, and then remembers the floor glyphs vaporized into smoke when Arya touched the green gems on the idol.
Zeek and Arya continue to tug on Anne, trying to release her from the smoky tentacle. Zeek yells for help and Arya requests for someone to burn the fog with a torch. Anne, struggling to avoid choking on the nebulous cloud-form, is unable to assist her companions against the strength of the non-corporeal arm.
OOC: Anne loses 2 more points of Stamina.
Tony enters the room and circles around to position himself for striking with a torch. The minstrel dips the flaming staff into the green vapor, but it simply envelops the fire and billows out of the way.
Betty follows Tony into the chamber and fans her staff, back and forth, through the mist. The action creates eddies in the fog which creates a ’SNAP’ sound at every swipe.

Anne fades out. In her mind, she sees a beautiful boy, his skin a pale blue. He is Ariaoch, Lord of the Seven Darks. He just nod to her, with a thin smile. She knows she passed the test, engulfed by death and chaos, and as she fights for her life, she will be a servant of Duke of hell.
