Zeek, satisfied with his survey of the western chamber, returns to the room with the kobold eggs. Anne examines the two hatchling corpses that fell out of the busted eggs. They do not contain any ornamentation or preparation for burial. These two died while in the egg, prior to hatching.
Arya overcomes from panic once she realizes that Dart survived the acid trap. Cautiously, she enters the statue chamber and moves near one of the mummies. She prods at the wrapped corpse with her staff. It appears to be solid and doesn’t react to her violation.
Ruby returns to the round doorway and vomits when she sees Derrek and Luke’s melted bodies. She looks in and sees Arya and Knuckles exploring the room beyond.
After a moment of unnerving shock, Knuckles joins Arya in the mummy vault. He cautiously approaches one of the stone urns and starts to look over the rim. Suddenly, he notices movement inside the urn and is able to back away before a large black spider jumps out to attack him. (He gets the initiative, so he is able to make an attack roll before it can make its attempt)
OOC: Urson, make an initiative roll for Arya and Ruby.
OOC: Only Knuckles, Arya and Ruby may react to the spider this round. Once the others hear or are informed, they may react.
Einstein leaves the egg chamber and pads south along the southern corridor. He steps into a room 34ft wide x 20ft deep, with the floor in the southeast corner collapsed into an underground stream. The water flows at a regular pace from east to south. A few piles of rubbish and rotten wood are scattered about. The room is undecorated and seemingly unoccupied.
OOC: So far, only mummified hatchlings are in the eggs.
