Ondrake follows behind Othrod into the keep - if no puny guards are there waiting he'll turn around and wait for those three from the courtyard to try and enter...

Horsefly

Horsefly grips the brlap sack in his snaggle teeth and begins climbing the outside of the tower, on the outer wall side, so he's opposite the courtyard and all the shooters. He's hoping to come up behind the crossbowman and take him by surprise.

Normal climbing wont require a roll.

All goblins/orcs can climb pretty well.

Remember that scene in the mines of Moria?

Ok, good. Otherwise, he might have been out of the game pretty abruptly.

Fire, Rubble, and Dust
Go Time! Round 12
Evening, Partly Cloudy, Warm

Othrod smashes through the door and squeezes his way inside the room. The front half appears to be an office of some kind, with a comfortable reception area sporting a few chairs and a nice couch. About half way across the floor, a wooden wall with a single door in it divides the room. A fine wooden desk and chair sit off to one side of the doorway and a stone stairway leads up to another normal wooden doorway at a landing to the second story of the tower. The flat areas in the room are covered with papers and books of all kinds, plaques and other degrees are hung around the walls, with several trinkets and knick-knacks lining many packed shelves. There is no sign of anything living in the room.

Ondrake wants to follow his bugbear buddy through the door, but he will need to make it much larger if he intends to fit inside. He is intercepted by the 3 guards who rush from the corner tower to meet him at the doorway. They all attack with swords and spears, hitting the massive giant once, but doing little to actually injure him. 3 dam Shozbot runs past the giant, wildly sticking him with his sword as he bounds past him towards the open door. 4 dam The orc is then hit in the back by an errant bolt meant for the giant. The newest injury only makes him seem even more crazed and violent as he rushes past.

Kermut is still nowhere to be seen, but he must be around here somewhere. Horsefly climbs out onto the bricks of the stone wall, moving around the corner and climbing up behind the guard who can no longer see him. After a good climb, the goblin gets himself into position on the top of the tower, behind the human looking through the towers crenellations.

Thamansa flies over to her new friend in the upper level of the tower, they spend a moment discussing just how bad an idea it was for here and her friends to try to attack this keep.

Othrod

Othrod looks for a torch or anything else burning then heads through the single door.

Horsefly

Horsefly sneaks up behind the human. If he's successful, he puts the bag over the man's head, snakes and all.

Ondrake rages at the treacherous slice this Shozbot slime gave him. He will enjoy sending his decaying carcass back to the mud. He will make a point of it. Oh yes.

For now, he unleashes his fury upon the trespassers before him once again sending brains and blood across the courtyard!

Attack (12) (+3str/+1weapon) [1d20+4] = 18+4 = 22

Fire, Rubble, and Dust
Go Time! Round 13
Evening, Partly Cloudy, Warm

Sneaking up to the crossbowman on the top of the square northwest tower, Horsefly uses the crenellation to his side to leap off so he can slide his bag of snakes around the mans head, dropping it on him almost perfectly. The tiny goblin chuckles to himself as his pets hiss and bite at the mans face and head. Screaming loudly, the human drops his crossbow and reaches for the bag, dropping to his knees in the process. He eventually falls prone on the floor after removing the bag half way and begins to convulse mildly, a white foam developing on his blue lips.

Ondrake wonders how he will fit into the doorway as Shozbot cuts him from behind. The orc races past into the tower before the giant can react, but he takes his frustrations out on the guards attacking him. Bashing one mans head into the side of the tower with his club causes one of the remaining guards to fall back. The other attempts to spear the giant and not shit himself in the process, but he fails. Two more bolts sting Ondrake, now the biggest target for the remaining crossbowmen on the walls. 5 dam

Finding no torches, or any light at all in the room, Othrod moves to the central door as Shozbot rushes into the tower behind him. "We must kill that wizard first if we want to get out of this alive!" Shozbot roars with a new confidence and a powerful demeanor that Othrod has never seen from the lowly orc. In fact, he now looks completely crazed to the bugbear leader.

As Othrod kicks in the door in the center of the room, an explosion of fire erupts in his face. Save vs. Spells, please 7/14 dam Shozbot sees the flames and starts running up the stone steps to the landing with the next door.

Now Kermut and Thamansa both appear to be missing from this heated battle.

Ondrake has had enough of the arrows. He dashes to the gate south of him to hide out for a bit. He swipes his rotting leg club at a passing guard as he goes...

Fire, Rubble, and Dust
Go Time! Round 14
Evening, Partly Cloudy, Warm

Othrod licks his nasty burn wounds and follows Shozbot up the stairs to the normal looking wooden door. The orc tries to open it, but it appears to be locked. He tries to force it open in his obvious rage, but that doesn't work either. There seems to be something......unnatural......preventing the thing from opening. The orc scowls at the huge bugbear, spitting on him as he talks. "Hey genius! You got any way to get through this stuck door? Maybe you could use your fancy ring again?" He laughs mockingly, asking in a very condescending and sarcastic manner.

Ondrake knows he cant fit through the normal tower door, so he kills another guard before running back under the opening in the central wall to avoid the rain of bolts that continue to hit him. There he sees a rickety ladder leading up to a small wooden hatch, a passage into the central wall that he wont fit into, and another narrow passage that used to lead into the now destroyed tower. There is no sign of life in either direction, but at least he isn't hit with anymore pricks from above.

Horsefly moves into position to kill off the line of guards along the back walls and towers, plunking 2 sizzling missiles into the human on the lower wall. The old goblin is happy to see him nearly fall over into the ravine below when he dies. The guard on the far tower takes aim at the goblin with his crossbow, but his bolt flies well over the tribal shamans head.

Othrod

Othrod loses his temper with Shozbot and walks towards the door, once in range he attacks the Orc with his Halbred.

Halbred [1d20+4] = 1+4 = 5 to hit [1d10+8] = 8+8 = 16 damage

That didn't go well, natural 1.

Ondrake flicks the arrows out of his shoulder. He grunts. He spots boulders on the ground and grunts again - with a smile.

Moving south through the gate, he hurls a boulder at the closest guard before ducking back into the gate house.

Boulder Bash (+3str) [1d20+3] = 4+3 = 7 / Brain Busting Damage [2d12+6] = 10+6 = 16

Horsefly
Horsefly laughs and bites his thumb at the crossbowman, then ducks over the parapet on the outside of the tower and climbs down to the top of the wall.
What's the range on Curse? I'm blind today and can't find it.

Horsefly

Thanx!

Horsefly re-enters the tower so he won't be spotted by the crossbowman on the NE tower, then he'll work his way back down to the courtyard level. His plan is to hug the wall so the crossbowman can't target him, and get to that tower.

Fire, Rubble, and Dust
Go Time! Round 15
Evening, Partly Cloudy, Warm

Horsefly stays low along the top of the tower, hurrying back through the hatch, down the ladder, down the steps, exiting the stables, and entering out into the courtyard again.

Ondrake picks up a hunk of broken tower rubble and tries to smash the guard on the wall above him with it. His intentions are sound, but his aim is not. He ducks back under the guardhouse before the crossbowmen can target him again.

Othrod has had all he can take of the impudent and lowly Shozbot. He charges up the steps to attack the crazed orc, but slips before he can land his blow. He almost falls off the open stairs when he loses his balance, giving the frothing orc a wide open window to retaliate. Shozbot sneers as he raises his maul overhead and brings it down on the bugbear next, smashing him hard enough to make him nearly pass out. 4 dam and a [3d6] Dex check to prevent falling, please "I wasn't going to attack you till the real battle was over, but if you wanna go now....." With spittle flying, the orc raises his maul overhead again, ready to finish the job.

Ondrake will once again try a shot with a rock to thin the herd up on the walls...

Boulder Bash (+3str) [1d20+3] = 4+3 = 7 / Brain Busting Damage [2d12+6] = 17+6 = 23
