as phil touches the gem he immediately screams in pain as his entire body tenses up, he remains frozen in place as the scream stops stuck in his throat is eyes remaining open as large as they can.

you watch in horror as every vein in his body seems to pop out as if they will burst from his skin.

then he collapses on the floor

Phillonous! Ruthgar will try to bump Phillonous away from the gem with a stiff shoulder check.

Saxony

"Foolish act. Didn't he already suffer from the necrotic radiance it has."

The warrior will try to knock the pedestal in such a way that it tips the gem from the stand into the lead box on the floor.

Phil, from the cold comfort of the ground Whatever you do, do not touch it. That thing has a will of it's own and it's vile. It is beyond our ability to handle, at least for now.

Ruthgar:
I vote we heal for the eve and make a fresh start tomorrow. Our healing magics are depleted and we may come upon someone or something on the way back to town.

Phil will take the first watch, since he doesn't think he's going to get much sleep anyway.

You settle in for the evening and shortly afterward you are awoken by Moony.

You awake to see a slim glow of a blue pulse coming from under the coffin lid. at the cellar door covered by the bed you her thumping and moaning.

Phil will prepare himself as well. We should leave this place at once. We don't have the strength to face an army of undead. And get rid of this accursed gem...at the very least, we should get out under the sun. We should not have it with us in the dark...
