Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
Need some help here guys. I have never played a cleric before and would like to attempt to turn these skeletons. I have original DMG (1979) and PH (1978) but for the life of me cannot find a mechanical explanation of turning. Can you point me to the right pages in the appropriate volume?

Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
Roll d20 vs the target number (1st level cleric vs skeletons needs 10 or more), roll d10 for number of creatures turned and roll 3d4 for the duration of turning.
1st ed D&D DMG I think about page 76 in Efreeti book.

Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
Thank you. Yes, the table is on 75 and mechanics are on 76. I have played this game for a long time, I bought the books the years they were printed and have never run across this. A bit embarrassed Thanks for the help.

Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
FYI in future combat when you state your action go ahead and roll attack and damage and I will sort it all out in my DM post.. I rolled for sandarin this round.
Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
what rules do you have regarding oil as a weapon?
what you suggest since it is not direct impact but standing in oil does 1d6 damage

Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
So spreading three pint flasks would cover most of a 10ft' barricade. I think it worth doing as even one skeleton doing a critical is deadly. Keep them at bay and burn them all.
Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
you are the red dot, the blue lines are the back of wooden pews you see at the edge of torch light. The skeletons ran past the pews. you do not know how wide or long the room is as it is beyond the torch light.
tell me your actions for the next 10 minutes.

Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
I went ahead and rolled for saxony to move the action ahead
Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
You can't see past the smoke but you can assume there are 4 skeletons left standing.
Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
please roll a saving throw this round if you have not
Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
FYI the battle sheet thread should be up to date with current HP and spells

Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
I think we should camp outside the main door, with standard watches posted. I think it's getting pretty close to evening.
That would let us 1) Have the clerics heal us up to max (knock on wood)HP AND enter the dungeon proper with full spells and 2) let us be rested for the main dungeon. I think we're less likely to be repetitively ambushed outside than inside. Though I still think we should expect to be ambushed. Also, if we decide to burn something, it'll likely work out better for us outdoors.

I suggest we break the night into thirds with
1st Saxony & Allan
2nd Sandarin & Moony
3rd Phillonious & Ruthgar
Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
I guess I will go with the above watch
Re: Unspoken Words (OOC)
Those of us who are asleep, I'm assuming we are not in our armor.
How long would it take to get our armor on ?

Is the battlesheet up to date? Ruthgar will hit some folks with healing as needed.
