Character Creation

#1 Post by Shonuff »

Use this to discuss character creation and setup.

Dice: 4d6 drop 1, (usually lowest). Reroll totals of 5 or less.
you may swap rolls to fit particular class.

Classes accepted:
Any base, any splat class or kit ( EXCEPT necromancer or chronomancer)
If you want a particular class/kit, run it by me here i'll let ya know.

Alignment:
Some of you may want to play "dark and shadowy" or evil.. i won't stop you.....BUT,
expect not to survive long.. The capitol of Gothmoor just got over a 8 year long
undead overtaking and seige of undead... evil isn't "welcomed"...
(oh, and I kill pcs outright when you attempt to destroy party balance or cause chaos for chaos sake. :) )

Races:
all normal races allowed. again...any special race, talk to me and ask, we'll see what we can do.
(It's not unheard of seeing a bugbear walking through Gothmoor..as long as he obeys the laws and civility level within Gothmoor's walls.)

***NOTE TO ELF PLAYERS: The elves in Ages past have done a great bad thing commonly known as "The Great Offense". They are not favorably liked across most of Thaaed. They have just recently begun to come out of a self exile and began attempting to reunite with the rest of civilization. Any elf that has "redeemed their bloodline" wears a red armbad or red on their left arm. Most people within the nation of Gothmoor accept this and will be publicly civil with elves. The outer lands and villages on the outskirts still may refuse service, or give barely notice to any patron that is elven(red armband or not!). You will not be openly attacked...in the city. You have been warned. :)

Are you allowing the class kits from the "complete" guides?

I mentioned to Shonuff the three PCs that I thought about running. But I've reconsidered, and will just build a character around the rolls, whenever we determine what they are.
I'm leaning towards a halforc fighter/cleric.

Yeah I'd definitely like to run a kit as well; I'm leaning toward a Shapeshifter (Complete Druid's HB), but I'm flexible and I suppose it would be dependent upon the rolls and how the DM goes about that. Being a newbie to The Unseen Servant, how do I tag my rolls for stats so the DM gets them etc.? Any aid at all would be greatly appreciated...thanks guys and good to be on board!

Yes, within reason. just ask.

I love the idea of the wiskey maker... but yeah that's fine. The prizefighter will fit well in the city, seeing as they have arenas within the capitol.

Shapeshifter is fine. Be aware, unless you all push to get out of town, you may be a shapeshifting druid of the wilderness, stuck in a tight, cramped, dirty, tall buildinged, sun blocking capitol city...but i'm cool with it :)

That's what I was looking for. Something that the DM also thought was cool for his/her game.
But, you didnt like my dwarven graverobber? just kidding....
If I remember correctly, 2e bards have a minimum stat requirement and Ill check on it now, after I search for creation roll demands.
If I make the rolls successfully, I'll play the human whiskey-making bard, Evan Williams IV. I might even break out the bottle, on weekends, that he is named after.

On the dice roller website, log in and then click on My Campaigns. It whould be listed there, next to the name of the campaign. 87 would be my guess, but.....

Would you prefer the dice roller character sheets or the typed out ones?
Do you have your own template you wish us to follow?
Are we to post them here or do you want to create a new thread strictly for PC sheets?

Stonjuz, who drew the picture on your character sheet?

For those playing, if you pm me a basic ,broad stroked background "born in small village "X", best friend heads to capitol city, I followed year later, excellent at "x", i can give you the finer details, to flesh your background out more.
If you want to come from a specific type region check the nations of Thaaed thread, i put the real world analogy on the first post.

let me know in a PM if you want something written up.

Not only are we playing with NWPs.. I want to see them listed.

ALSO, somewhere on the sheet you post to the other thread, i want to see an
Observation stat. INT+WIS/2

(this is my perception roll, my spot/search, my general awareness roll)
