I dont know what +' are for my attack roll. Where would I find this info.
For a melee attack, you add your Strength modifier to both your attack roll and your damage roll. If the melee weapon you're using has the 'Light' property (which a shortsword does), you can choose whether to apply your Strength or Dexterity modifier.
If you're using a weapon you're proficient with (defined by your race/class/background), you also add your proficiency bonus (which is +2 for all characters at 1st level) to your attack roll (but not damage roll).
So, for Targarious, his attack roll modifier will be: +5
- Proficiency bonus: +2
- Dexterity modifier: +3
