  • Scout: Does the party have one?
  • Marching Orders
    • 5-feet
    • 10-feet
  • Sleeping Watch Schedule (Note: A long rest needs to be at least 8 hours.)

I guess the first consideration in marching order is AC, which puts Dureau Sathaos (18) and Kañ-Demir (15) in front. In narrower confines where we expect a frontal assault, Sathaos would go first, and in more delicate situations where DEX seems like the thing, Kañ-Demir would.

Dr. Jones (9) and Urth Stormwind (12) (a name that really needs to be followed by a crack of lightning and a guitar lick) should go in the middle, which leaves Grimbuld Graybeard (15) as rearguard.

Does that look about right?

You have Dr. Jones' AC and HP mixed up. Her AC should be 14. I don't mind going first in the order as I have the best AC, but do we really want the healer out front? Especially with limited ability to stealth and armor that puts him at disadvantage. I would think if we are outside, maybe having the ranger in front, with the rogue as scout if we are indoors.

How about this?

Defensive Marching Order, Two Abreast
Sathaos + Kañ-Demir
Urth + Dr. Jones
Graybeard

Single-Line
Sathaos
Kañ-Demir
Urth
Dr. Jones
Graybeard

Stealthy/Wilderness Marching Order, Two Abreast
Dr. Jones + Graybeard
Kañ-Demir + Urth
Sathaos

Single-Line Stealth
Dr. Jones
Graybeard
Kañ-Demir
Urth
Sathaos

Single-Line Wilderness
Graybeard
Dr. Jones
Kañ-Demir
Urth
Sathaos

Too much?

Current AC is 14 and HP 9.

Regarding marching order, if there are instances were we might need someone to stealth forward and gather information I like to be first in that situation. Especially once I get my cunning action where I can dash dash if necessary and even potentially use my feline agility if I stumble into combat. Making running back to the party fairly easy. But don’t get cunning action until we level to two.

I’d like to point out my stealth is +7 and our ranger +1...so I’d be more than willing to be the lookout type person in both indoor outdoor situations. But if we are all stealthing single file then maybe behind someone.

For sleeping order I have dark vision so whenever the middle of the night watch would be best for Catarina. Our dwarves do too. Human maybe first and last depending on sunrise sunset.

Hmm. Maybe Dr. Jones should be first for stealthy wilderness travel, as well. She is by far the stealthiest character, so anytime we need to sneak she should be out front. That way, those of us that are loud and clanky in our armor might not affect her. Ranger can go first outdoors if we need to track or do ranger specialty sort of things. Otherwise, I'm ok with the suggestions.

Well i didn't select stealth as one of my 3 choices so that is why likely the disadvantage on stealth that and the way I did my primary stats too. I'm pretty fine with the march order in Pulpatoon's 2nd shot at it save for the fact that yes as a ranger in stealth i am not the top pick. This will explain some of my disadvantages i selected for proficiencies Nature, Survival and Animal Handling granted nature i am willing to change for stealth as i am not sure it will be entirely useful in this game.

GreyWolfVT, your character has disadvantaged Stealth because of the armor he's wearing. You could consider chain+shield, which gives you better AC without the Disad. Or, once we have more money, a breastplate, which gives you the same AC without the Disad. But then, Sathaos is also rocking the scale mail, so we'll just keep you two rattleboxes in the far rear when we sneak.

Howsabout this for symmetry:
Sathaos + Graybeard
Urth
Kañ-Demir + Dr. Jones

Simply reverse order , depending on whether we're trying to sneak of or not? barging or sneaking?
Not than Kañ-Demmir is especially sneaky, but he's got a +2 and no Disad.

For single-file, we just attenuate the above:
Sathaos
Graybeard
Urth
Kañ-Demir
Dr. Jones

Urth can fire spells over either Graybeard's or Kañ-Demir's head, right?

Watches:
1. Sathaos
2. Kañ-Demir
3. Dr. Jones
4. Graybeard
5. Urth

That places those with darkvision in the darkest parts of night, and gives the spellcasters the longest bouts of uninterrupted sleep, in case things go awry.

With two-hour watches, we can even afford to give a rotating member of the party a night off, as need dictates. That still gives everyone six hours of sleep and two hours of light activity (keeping said watch)

How do those lists look?

roll if needed for examining the diamonds to try and determine their value.
I know my last update was a wall of words (apologies!), but, per that update, the diamonds you're using in the exchange are "...near worthless in actual value."

Prestidigitation can only be used for one effect at a time.

My bad, I remembered that it could have three effects at once but forgot they have to happen one at a time. I guess Urth will settle for a loud wet fart sound only.
