Exploring the 'Guineaman'.
Re: Exploring the 'Guineaman'.
Leaveing De la Vega's dermal-contract-wrapped form for others to deal with, Zoggrot whips around and flings his silvered throwing daggers at the wight.
Silvered throwing dagger, thrown (THAC0 16): [1d20+3] = 9+3 = 12 [1d4/1d3] = err
Correcting damage from macro: Damage: [1d4] = 2/[1d3] = 3
Silvered throwing dagger, thrown (THAC0 16): [1d20+3] = 1+3 = 4 [1d4] = 3/[1d3] = 3
That does not include the chant bonus.

Rexlin and Fishy
Well, it was too late to back off now... Rexlin howled and pressed on, urging Fishy as he did.
Rexlin:
Yuan-Ti Short Sword [1d20+1] = 14+1 = 15 DMG [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6 + [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2
Fishy:
Fishy +1 Dagger [1d20+1] = 19+1 = 20 DMG [1d4] = 1

Rene
Doubting his ability to injure any of the creatures facing us, redoubles his effort to get the spirit slaves to join in the attack. Brandishing the totem high he calls for them to "avenge themselves on these cruel spirits. Are you men or are you slaves?"

Alderhay continues to attach the lemures, to keep them away from the others:
Short Sword (Ogre boost): to-hit [1d20+3] = 1+3 = 4, dmg [1d6+3] = 2+3 = 5
Dagger (offhand - ogre boost): to-hit [1d20+1] = 14+1 = 15, dmg [1d4] = 3

Iggway rolls the skin parchments up and places them within her headdress for safe keeping. She looks at her arms and hands and sees the necrotic effect ravaging her body.

Siggard tries to help Iggway secure the skin parchments, reading them if he can before she puts them away.
His furry companion continues to distract the undead monster from hurting any of his friends while Gin stays close to the pair, striking at any lemurs that get too close.
VdP Golem Spear Attack [1d20+2] = 18+2 = 20 Dam [2d4+3] = 6+3 = 9

Re: Exploring the 'Guineaman'.
Battle conclusions and confusions.
De la Vega, mummified rogue slaver and Captain of the stricken vessel goes down under a flurry of fatal blows. The advancing wight, Cookie, similarly cursed to live an undead existence in the intestinal purgatory strikes out his whip at Szmodics, as he runs by to grab his tomahawk. The leathery strands of the 'cat o' nine' striking new scars into the rogue's flesh. The 'cat o' Siggard', continues to snarl and tear at the wight, suffering again under the energy draining touch.
Cookie. Whip [1d20] = 13 [1d4] = 2 touch [1d20] = 10 -2 hp Szmo
The party though overwhelm the wight. Silver tipped blades hack and stab. The potion heroes rise to the occasion, each scoring lethal blows before the wight is decapitated from the flying axe. The leopard grips the undead skull and shakes it about as a trophy.
In the gut cavern, lemures burn in their cocoons and others spawned to crawl get savaged by the indomitable party. The chasing lemures breach the passage at the top of the cavern, momentarily halted in their progress by the burning bodies and smoke filled room. Blistering gut skin hisses and pops with acidIc vapours.
As the mummy crumbles, the parchment skin is torn carefully off his decaying body. The mage notes bloody hand prints pressed firmly onto the skin parchment. One after another in a line, fingerprints linking the crewmen culprits to their evil covenant.
The ghostly choir chant in unison, a song of lamentation and forlorn hope. Though Rene understands them they do not communicate directly to you. Ferrol the elf still lies breathless and dying on the gut floor. Party clerics could move to open his throat and pour a draft of healing virtue into him.
Ideas are shared as to next actions, the fighters forming a line of defence against the crawling lemures as others debate how best to lift the curses and find a way out of the intestine.
next definitive actions please

Re: Exploring the 'Guineaman'.
Pocc "Iggy don't you have that healing potion? You could use a bit of it on Ferrol." the druid politely suggests.

Re: Exploring the 'Guineaman'.
Zoggrot takes the captain’s sword, retrieves his silver throwing daggers, and returns Goldie's dagger to him. He then picks up one of the parchment contracts, takes Goldie's torch, and tries to set the contract on fire. If it catches, Zoggrot looks around to see if burning the contract had any effect on the cursed crew members.
And if that doesn't seem to work, maybe we try using remove curse on the pile of parchments?

Pocc "If someone wish to instruct me on proper use of a remove curse scroll we could try that before burning it."

Re: Exploring the 'Guineaman'.
Stubble knew army positions, and the concept of holding the line. Admittedly, he was usually on the other side, calculating firing angles and charge weights. But the concepts were easy.
Hopefully the spell casters could figure out the puzzle, Stubble resolved to give them the time. Hopefully they could think of something quick.
Attack [1d20+1] = 15+1 = 16, damage [2d4+2] = 8+2 = 10

Rexlin & Fishy
Take up guarded positions to maintain a front against any more turd minions in the bowels of the ship.
In case attacks are needed
Rexlin:
Yuan-Ti Short Sword [1d20+1] = 4+1 = 5 DMG [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2 + [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4
Fishy:
Fishy +1 Dagger [1d20+1] = 20+1 = 21 DMG [1d4] = 1 Holy Cow! I almost hope something does attack now so Fishy can insta kill something!

Fenis
Fenis falls into line with the others to give the smart ones time to figure things out.
Torch [1d20] = 16 to hit [1d4] = 2 [1d6] = 5
Torch attack if needed.

Szmodics
Takes the wight's whip. Coiling it and stuffing it in his belt. "I know a Butcher who would like a taste of this," he says with a vengeful glint in his eyes.
He wipes the blood off his tomahawk and goes to join the defensive line (if Ferrol is being treated).

Iggway rushes to Ferrol, she sees the necrotic effects taking hold of him...she removes one of the vials from her medicine pouch. Drink this... She places the vial on his lips and pours it in.

Re: Exploring the 'Guineaman'.
Siggard muses over the parchments while Gin keeps an eye out for trouble as he guards the others.
"Perhaps if we let one of the tiny devils through the line, or drag one of the regenerating bodies away from the others, Iggway or Pocc could try removing their curse in safety?"
The mage pours through all of the prints on the pages, hoping to find some writing or other clue as to how they might proceed once his crewmates are healed again.

Re: Exploring the 'Guineaman'.
Gut feelings and stomach for the fight.
The injured elf Ferrol is checked over by Iggway. He suffers not infection caught from the necrotic touch of the mummified De la Vega but is simply asphyxiated from the tight strangling coils of the wight's whip. Szmodics releases the throngs and sits the limp body of the elf up as a draft of healing potion is poured down his throat. Gagging like a drowning man (or elf), Ferrol 'Bello' splutters, his face flushing from blue oxygen stifled death to a healthier gasping for air plum. "Just feigning!" he signals to Old Plighty. back to full health at 5hp. One draft of healing left.
The martial of the party stab and slash the spawning cocoons, slaying temporarily any diabolical reinforcements to the approaching lemures.
Zoggrot begins to torch a portion of the skin parchment. It is one continuous length, not several portions. The flames take to it and the skin crisps in oily blisters, shrivelling slowly. The effect though does not halt the progress of the former crew as the lemure figures line up abreast at the top of the cavern, a line two deep. They are a surreal sight In the light of burning cocoons and throbbing veins. "Hunger, Hunger," is their repeated mantra and they relentlessly wriggle forward to bludgeon stumpy limbs at the meaty foreign bodies before them.
Siggard studies as best he can. The scroll is decorated with palm prints. One missing a finger some two, another showing scars, others indiate a ring bearer, dwarven fat hands with sausage fingers or a delicate long thin hand of an elven sailor. All are bloody, the signature of their souls blotted in crimson hues on the slave skin made parchment.
The slaves spirits hush. They seem confused as to their existence or reality in this purgatory. The huddle of ghostly figures, scores strong, seem to wait with an expectation unfulfilled despite the final deaths of the two undead guardians. There seems to be a final hurdle within grasp to release them and the party from the Guineaman's soulish chains. In hope they begin a unified hum until a choral leader strikes up another spiritual chant, the +1 effects countering the penalty suffered from breathing in the nauseous gas and acidic vapours of the blistering gut cavern.
next actions please. Basically the lemures are in a nine abreast line with another nine directly behind who will all engage in any melee. A dozen other cocoons or spawns burn or lie dead around the cavern wall. A leopard snarls, ready to pounce on some new prey.

Re: Exploring the 'Guineaman'.
Siggard announces loudly once he sees the maggot-men continue advancing.
"I believe that the Hunger aspect of this curse is what must be lifted from these creatures before the souls of the slaves can be freed!"
He commands his conjured leopard to join the ranks of others trying to hold back the onslaught of lemurs, while Gin stays close to the mage.

Still getting used to the crowding, and the two handed weapon, Stubble fails to spill lemur ichor.
