Horsefly digs his sharp knife into the much softer wood under the slate tiles and is eventually able to drill the hole deep enough to see into the room below. He presses his bloodshot eyeball to the hole and spies only an empty stone room filled with a dull blue light. The light appears to be coming from the opposite wall of the balcony and shining outward in that direction. He doesn’t see any doors, stairs, or ladders inside the room, only the circular stone walls.

Kurmut moves back towards the shit covered ladder and starts to climb as Shozbot watches the tunnel for the dead woman. The orc is suddenly struck prone and unable to move as he feels cold hands slowly inch up his torso from behind. When Kermit looks back, he spots the long dead woman again, standing directly behind the orc who appears unable to stop her from touching him. 4 dam

While Othrod and Horny Carl tell each other what they’ve found, the also notice the cool air coming from the tunnel. When they look inside, they can see Shozbot standing dead still in the middle of the narrow tunnel that neither of them can enter.

Thamansa prods Horsefly's ribs with a boney finger, indicating that she wants a turn at the peephole.

Can either Horsefly or Thamansa make educated guesses as to what they are looking at?

Thamansa whispers to Horsefly: "We have to learn more about what's going on in there. This is big magic, right? And more dangerous than a bunch of pitiful hu-man guards being on alert."

Ondrake doesn't see any way in to his new home from the trench so will head back to the point where they were supposed to meet.

Seeing the dead lady attack the orc, he shouts something that hurts your ears, ወለድ! Rushing toward her, he mutters something in orcish, Die again dead lady! Unfortunately, having leapt from the ladder, his dagger attack misses as he hasn't quite regained his balance.

(whispered)Maybe big magic- maybe not. A light inna empty room makes sure nobody goes in it or past it less somebody sees. We-us needa check another tower.

When Thamansa is done, Horsefly slides a shingle tile back over the hole to cover it.

Thamansa grits her teeth in annoyance that her goblin companion keeps showing such excellent sense. Blasted little know-it-all! With a grunt, she nods, and straps him back in to the makeshift harness. They fly straight up, until the have enough elevation to safely consider the Keep again. "Which tower looks good to yer beady lil' eyes?"

What they see is what they get. It looks like an empty stone room with a dull blue light shining out form the back wall. No furniture, ladders, stairs, or doors in the room.

Not really sure what they have found in the upper floor of the skinny corner tower, Thamansa and Horsefly take to the sky again. Flying straight up to avoid any of the lights strewn around the area, they discuss their next target before descending.

Ondrake heads back to the landing where he, Othrod and Carl can only stare at the unmoving orc in the narrow tunnel. Kermut jumps from the ladder, trying to stab at the dead woman hugging Shozbot, but his shit covered boots cause him to slip a little and miss his mark. The desiccated and ghostly glowing figure of the young human woman continues to caress and kiss up on the paralyzed orc as he stands there unable to defend against her. 2 dam

Screw this! the gnoll snarls in Orcish, dropping his dagger in favor of his sword. His attempt to run the dead lady through while not also skewering the orc does not go as he planned, however.

Horny Carl stares into the tunnel at the idiotic orc. Look at them. Their fighting in there. Now the Kermut one is attacking. Stupid! He rummages through his sack and pulls out an unlit torch, chicking it down the passage at the fighting pair, hoping to make them get back to work.

I'll let OM roll for that.

Thamansa and Horsefly fly a little closer to the southeast tower where most of the areas light is coming from. There they see a huge brazier in the center of the towers floor. A raging fire burns in the brazier, shining light out around the rest of the area. In that light, the duo spots at least three guards along the crenelated walls. All of them are looking out over the wall, and they appear to scan downward at the front gate of the Keep often as well. The crafty bugbear is relieved that none of the rabble she left behind has bumbled this far yet or they would surely have been spotted.

Othrod, Ondrake, and Carl all watch as some strange shimmering form of what appears to be a young human woman gropes at Shozbot inside the narrow tunnel. They see Kermut attempt to stop the affection, but his tactics seem ineffective. Horny Carl tosses a torch down the narrow tunnel. It hits Shozbot in the back of his leg, and the orc doesn't even flinch. In fact, he doesn't appear to be moving at all.

Kermut stabs at the apparition with his much larger blade, but the dead woman skirts his blow. She turns from the unmoving orc and reaches out for the gnoll this time instead. He is just able to avoid her reach as she tries to caress his arm.

Shozbot is now allowed another saving throw vs. Paralysis, if it is successful, he can act this round.

Unless anything catches her eye or Horsefly has an objection, Thamansa will not stop at the SE tower, but skirt up to the East tower to check it out, and to get e better view of the norther blue light.
