Sorry. Didn't mean to insult your intelligence.

No problem. I didn't feel you did, anyway. I'm always cognizant of Risdac's size and how it impacts his journey through the ship.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Risdac will happily hoist Xale (or anyone else) into the upper room to slaughter our mysterious foe.

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk III
Just because it's fun, I'm going to say that magical effects from items worn at the time of polymorphing are still active after the change. So, for example, Tanner the frog can still jump around as if he were wearing the Boots of Striding and Springing, can teleport using his helm, etc. But any items that he would need to actively use (e.g., the Net of Entrapment, Marble Elephant, or Dust of Disappearance) can't be used until he gets his native form back.
Also note that Tanner's AC and HP haven't changed. He's a frog, but he's a frickin' tough frog.

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk III
That would be even better if it had been Xale turned into a frog.
Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk III
It strikes me that Tanner, being so tough, would make a passible projectile.

Hah! Now you're thinking creatively.
Tanner would still take damage, though. It's just that he could still take a lot of it. Granted, he could have taken more of it before Risdac's fireball...

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk III
True, he'd get beaten around. But how many 100+ HP bullfrogs do you know of?

FWIW, Dispel Magic targets an area of effect of a 30'x30'x30' cube. So if you target Tanner, you'll get much more than just the frog (although I don't think Tanner or Xale are carrying anything that would be in danger of being dispelled).ravenn4544 wrote:Malibran will cast dispel magic on the frog if so desired.

If there is no danger and folks okay with it, he'll do it. otherwise, I don't think the spell will wear off

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk III
Since when does a little danger stop us from doing something around here? I've already cast fireball into a room too small to contain the blast, so clearly Risdac is not too concerned with danger.ravenn4544 wrote:If there is no danger

Good point! I’ll use that fireball example as my measuring stick for future decisions

Sorry about the delay, folks. It's been quite a busy week.
Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk III
No problem. I replied in my personal forum.

I saw this, then forgot it. I'll correct it shortly.ravenn4544 wrote:Good point! I’ll use that fireball example as my measuring stick for future decisions

One small note, though—when I post my updates, I use the recent IC posts to keep track of what each character is doing. So if you only state an action in here, I might flake on it, like I did in this case.

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk III
no problem, that's my fault. Thanks for updating!
Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk III
FYI, I just edited the last update to show Xale calling for help. Any AOE spells cast into the room above can happen this round; anyone wanting to climb up can join the fun next round.
Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk III
I haven't been very active with Hallagad, but this seems like a situation in which he'd want to be at the front of the action. It's up to Risdac whether to send Rool up to look around or Hallagad to take a more direct approach.
Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk III
Posting the action in two different private forums and the public thread was getting to be too much of a pain, so I put the action for "upstairs" in spoiler tags. If you're in the upper area, please put your updates in spoiler tags. If you forget, I'll edit your post to add them.
