Re: OOC Chat
That order looks good. Parson Paul has a flail for combat. That's 2-handed, right? So he could stow it and carry his lantern until melee, at which point someone else can grab the light source, I guess.
Edit: I'm just looking over his stats again and am marveling at how utterly average Paul is.

Re: OOC Chat
A light source will be very important to see/detect/find traps.

Re: OOC Chat
There are two types of flails in LL. A regular flail, one-handed, that does 1d6 damage and a heavy flail, which is a two-handed weapon that does 1d8 damage. You have just a 'flail' listed and damage as 1d8. I think you need to clarify which flail do you have first, a flail or heavy flail. If you are not using a shield, you can carry the heavy flail (over one shoulder) and a torch in the other hand. You just can't use the weapon until you've discarded the torch (toss to the ground or a hand off).Rusty Tincanne wrote:That order looks good. Parson Paul has a flail for combat. Aldredus can take the lamp. He's got nothing to do in combat except cringe and lob the occasional poorly aimed dart.

Re: OOC Chat
I adjusted it to a single handed flail, as that fits his character more, I think.Tamerlaine wrote:I think you need to clarify which flail do you have first, a flail or heavy flail. Spell listed.
He'll carry the lantern for now.

I had a post ready and everything, then no wifi. Hopefully something corrects itself. Please, no more posting as I'm preempting some of your actions.
Re: OOC Chat
Sure thing Tamerlaine
Also as asked in game, can N Orzak tell if this trap is new or not? Has this passage been used recently?

The trap seems to be old. Norzak can't tell with the latter.tarlyn wrote:Also as asked in game, can N Orzak tell if this trap is new or not? Has this passage been used recently?

Dang! He killed Igeous when his player was AFK. Evil GM, to be sure!
J/k. Great game so far. I can't wait to see how Parson Paul bites it. (Maybe the townies were onto something when they said this place was dangerous. )

Well, I've been away from the game for about a week, dealing with all kinds of flu, but now I'm back and eager to see what progress we've m—OH MY GOD! ALDREDUS! Dead! By kobolds, for heaven's sake?! Kobolds?!
Re: OOC Chat
I only know the English name: Throne of Blood, by Kurosawa. An excellent film!
You can see in this gif that they are actually shooting arrows at the actor—and several strike him! Toshiro Mifune had wooden blocks under his costume armor.

Re: OOC Chat
I'm not the kind of DM that pushes or nudges the players as my games are player driven. With the introduction of Pulpy's 2nd character, it was as if the game died. No one asked about what materials the tower had to use against the goblins. I waited and waited and after a while a player left the game and I guess I gave up, to be honest.
I don't know where we are with this. Part of me wants to ditch this and move on to other ideas and another part of me wants to try again. But if we try again, I'm going to need more input and effort from the players. Like I said above, my games are player driven.

Re: OOC Chat
I'm kinda new here compared to many players but this is just more evidence to me that PbP games are difficult to run due to weird communication problems. This never would have happened at a table
IMHO we could just continue.
Who left?
