Chapter 2: The Heist
Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
Alright. There is no problem entering the small vault. You can clearly see a wooden box, a chain-link bag, and a small coffee. The rest of the shelves are bare.
Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
Raamiz examines the items carefully, wary of any tripwires or pressure plates or hidden needles. He prods the bag with his dagger, attempting to open the pouch enough to see inside, and if there seem to be no traps, he will flip the box open (I'm assuming it's small with some sort of a hinged lid; otherwise, he'll try to pry it open), and examine the latch of the coffer for traps.

Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
Prodding the chain mesh bag with a dagger causes it to jingle, as if with coins. Raamiz estimates it could contain a few hundred coins.
The box flips open to reveal several books and papers.
Feel free to roll to examine the coffer for traps. If your roll is high enough to find anything, I'll let you know.

Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
While Raamiz is examining the coffer, Shmehk will look at the contents of the box, without touching anything. He's trying to determine the subject of the papers/books.
Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
The papers seem to be business records... Iedgers and such

Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
I *think* I'm waiting for a find traps roll from Enoch... is this right?

Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
Raamiz finds no traps on the coffer... opening it, you find an 8 inch long key resting on a bed of ebony satin. This appears to be the "Key of Unwitnessed Sisterhood". It is made of gold, and has three unusually cut dark purple stones (amethysts) along its length.
Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
What do we know of the key, i.e. what does it unlock? Is it magical?
Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
All you know is that it's a treasure that this guy had that is probably worth a lot... could it be magical? Maybe.

Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
Shmehk pauses, looking thoughtful
On second thoughts we should check for hidden compartments, you never know...
He will start checking the vault over, in case there is something hidden.

Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
Shmehk can make an intelligence check, looking for a secret compartment, if you would like.
Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
Raamiz nods in agreement and begins tapping on walls, his ear held close to the wall.

Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
Eithe Raamiz or Shmehk can make a d24 intelligence check to see if you find any secret doors/ compartments (the d24 for working together on the search...)
Re: Chapter 2: The Heist
It is clear from your careful inspection that there is usually much more stuff in the vault... there are several clean patches on dusty shelves that indicate that things have recently been removed from the shelves in here.
Unfortunately, your careful searches turn up no sign of secret compartments or secret doors in the small vault.
