armor wise I'd say nothing better than studded leather at least for now. However you can get a shield buckler, small shield or medium at the largest.

Re: Creating Goblin PC's:Adventure Style PC's
I have a question about priest spheres for shamans and witchdoctors.
the section on goblins lists 4 spheres they get access to. the kit descriptions say to choose 3 spheres.
how do you want to resolve the difference, chose 3 spheres from those listed under goblin?

cool. we're not going to have any healing spells we only get access to reversed healing, we will have to be careful.
upchuck has the healing prof, which will help.

GW: I'll keep Madadam and make him old-aged. Is there anything special to know about the shaman kit? Stat mins/maxes, etc?GreyWolfVT wrote:Sub-Classes: Class Kits
Priest Kits Allowed: Shaman, Witch Doctor, Oracle, War Priest, Wandering Mystic
And what is the wandering mystic it all about? Might be fun to retcon that he was just passing by when all this happened.
I'll likely keep Biskins as his fighter-type bodyguard.
As I said before, I'm really new to 2e, so I'll be asking for help on character creation.

Wandering Mystic is really broke just fyi one of the lackey's is a Wandering Mystic. I will post up what the book has listed for both Shaman and the Mystic kits or sub-classes as they truly are and should be called. no matter what the old school books call emRusty Tincanne wrote:GW: I'll keep Madadam and make him old-aged. Re: Creating Goblin PC's:Adventure Style PC's
The Wandering Mystic is not what I expected. And Shaman sounds perfect.
So... How do we know or starting proficiencies?
Fortune telling, healing and herbalism sounds good. Can he take snare setting if he isn't a fighter-shaman?
What are the three spheres he has access to?
Thanks.

To answer the sphere question I will refer to my reply here:Rusty Tincanne wrote:The Wandering Mystic is not what I expected. And Shaman sounds perfect.

Well the bonus NWP you get for free no slot used per my ruling. Required NWP you have to take and will use up whatever slot total is listed for it. As for recommended you can take them but do not have to. As 2nd level you wouldn't gain any new prof. slots so still would be same as base NWP listed for "Priest class" in the standard player handbook. Snare setting you can take but you get a penalty slot if you are not of that class. In other words it takes 1 additional NWP slot from what you get to take that prof.GreyWolfVT wrote:Yes select 3 of the allowed spheres for goblins.shaidar wrote:I have a question about priest spheres for shamans and witchdoctors.

Re: Creating Goblin PC's:Adventure Style PC's
well if anyone had more than 1 survive the onslaught in the first scenario they can use one of their other characters that survived or we can do a roll for the 4 I made up. I'd say roll a 1d8 and lowest number gets to pick from the 4 pre-grens first then we go in order from there. Highest number gets last pick.

Madadam will take Biskins, so I won't bother rolling.
I'll get back to the PHB to finish my character and lackey

Re: Creating Goblin PC's:Adventure Style PC's
Here's my roll. It been a busy week for me working for the DPW it is my town festival this weekend. We got one street and the Village Halltore up putting down new asphalt. Got to get the park presentable for the townspeople. Put up signs to detour traffic for the parade. Actually my weekends for the next 2 months I believe are filled. Festivals, Hunting, Renaissance Festival on Labor day weekend.
