Technically, you would need to declare that you're using inspiration (and gaining advantage) before you make a roll. There are other mechanics in the game (e.g. a halfling's 'Lucky' ability) which allows for a reroll; but advantage (gained by inspiration or situation) should be declared ahead of time.OGRE MAGE wrote:Do we need to announce if we are using Inspiration on saves and checks etc., or can we roll them if we fail the first roll?
