Very good question.

No, none of the cultists appear to be suffering from any pox affects.

The same letters in the border secret message as before. I don't have time right now but will try latter tonight.

Do we need to announce if we are using Inspiration on saves and checks etc., or can we roll them if we fail the first roll?

I assume the former?

Technically, you would need to declare that you're using inspiration (and gaining advantage) before you make a roll. There are other mechanics in the game (e.g. a halfling's 'Lucky' ability) which allows for a reroll; but advantage (gained by inspiration or situation) should be declared ahead of time.

I'm having a very busy day at work and likely won't be able to sneak in the next update before leaving. I also have my live game tonight, and won't be home until late!

Expect the next update tomorrow (or possibly over the weekend). In the meantime, please continue to submit your CON saving throws.

Thanks!

Did we ever actually determine how the captain died? Poison hasn't been ruled out yet, right?

The note to M’lady in the apothecary was signed RK. Did Maladie ever know Cat was the Rat King?

1. In the newspaper secret messages it seems like Maladie is saying she isn’t responsible for the rat pox?
2. Does Cat believe Maladie killed her father?
3. Is there a third player?

Just random thoughts.

I am not sure we yet know the answers, but they are great questions and it would help if we did.

I've left a draft saved for my next update in the game lingering for a week now:

This is terrible, guys. Apologies for not making time for this game lately.

Things, with the holidays, are going to be a bit spotty, but I will definitely try to do better.

It may not have been obvious, but these rat swarms definitely present a combat situation. I'm sure you guys won't want to waste a full round, so I'll give those of you that didn't post actions ( BearSiren817, ravenn4544 ) an opportunity to do so.

Here is the initiative order:

Azalea
Sandro -- attack provided
Rat Swarms
Louchi -- attack provided
Garl
Asmundr -- NPC

I'm hoping to be able to update again tomorrow (Monday), but can wait longer if needed since I know the holiday schedules can sometimes get crazy.

Welcome back.

Yeah, sorry about that. Thankfully 5e is pretty generous when it comes to healing.
