Just FYI, I've got a show up in DC from Wednesday-Sunday of this week. I'll have internet, and my computer, but my availability to update will be limited.

Ok so looking at the map where would our location currently be and is North the top of the map?

North is up. Let's assume you guys are to the east, on the right side.

Thanks. Ok my thoughts here are some of us attack from the east the melee or closer ranged can move with Nerith to the south and attack from there while someone goes to the northern end and destroys the club as mentioned and works to free the captive.

Feel free to place tokens on the map representing characters and a course of action. The clearer you guys are the better I can interpret your actions.

placed tokens with some text. The longer arrows indicating the direction those groups move/attack from.

If someone can break down who's in the melee group and who's in the missile group that would be great, and I'll get this party started!

I think we already did that in IC....I'd have to go back through the posts to see who is in which myself. I know I was a melee because of the limited range of my ranged weapons.

ok so far i believe our archers are Drust, & Preacher Cardicus

The melee group is Elerik & Nerith

Bodhi is the one in attempt to destroy the club and free the captive.

No idea what group Lothgar Ironbelly is going to go with.

Okey dokey. I'll resolve in the morning, in case anyone else wants to add something to the plan.

Sorry, I realized I've got a quick question: is the plan for the mage to try and damage the club first, and then you guys open up with missile fire, or are you going to fire at the giant first and then have the mage sneak in and try and damage the club while it is distracted (and hope that it doesn't go for the club once it is under attack)?

The plan i was working towards was sneak up damage the club we attack trying to distract the giant so maybe he can get the captive freed.

Just as a note, because I think there might be more of a miscommunication of tone; I don't run very heroic games. The vast majority of NPCs in the world are going to be Neutral, trying to get by in the world and making a buck at the same time. Think Dying Earth, Conan, etc. more than, say, Dragonlance. Mine is not a world where you want to leave mercenaries with a bunch of treasure, unsupervised, while you delve into a dungeon. If you do it is likely that you emerge from the dungeon to find an empty camp with no treasure left.

A close examination of the hill giant's treasure suggests that the vast majority of the gold is old and covered in gross stuff from the giant's bedding. It is *entirely* likely that the gnome was trying to pull a fast one and get some additional gold out of the deal. You guys are welcome to react how you want, but I just wanted to make sure that we're on the same page, tone-wise.
