What did we ever agree to regarding the creation of a community/party fund?

Re: Word on the Streets: OOC Chatter pt 2
It kinda sounded like it was only there for anyone that doesn't want their cut. However I can take a separate split for it still. I think that was the original consensus I just goofed up on the splitting of it. So I can correct that.

I remember that I offered an alternative. Everyone receives a cut, but a small portion was also set aside for things such as lodging, supplies, and other expedition expenses. That portion would simply be treated as one additional character, so instead of dividing by 10, we'd divide by 11, for example.

Well right now there are only 9 players so it would get divided by 10 not 11 in this instance.

I'm all for setting up a general fund to pay for lodging and mundane expenses.
Re: Word on the Streets: OOC Chatter pt 2
Perhaps you can use a generic large village/small city design for TALV. IT seems to be a crossroad/hub village/city which should have a couple inns, taverns, Smithy, merchants booths/houses. Minor magic shops (potion, trinkets), temples, stables. Most things available probably. Or you could just make it a medium village with just a few things there. lodging, tavern, stables and one general goods shop.

I was citing it as an example, I didn't actually do a head count. ;PGreyWolfVT wrote:Well right now there are only 9 players so it would get divided by 10 not 11 in this instance.
As for Talv, I am doing my own research. I'll let you know soon if I come up with anything.
Re: Word on the Streets: OOC Chatter pt 2
I like the idea of a split, but with an extra share going into the pot for lodgings/expenses. Good plan that man

I spent a couple hours trying to find anything on Talv nothing in the Al-Qadim books nothing online yet all maps have Talv on it... and specifically this one module/adventure book refers to it and wants players to go to it but has no information on it.
I guess this is where that random town builder generator works out....

I kinda winged it on the town of Talv I'm classifying it as a Town population of 800 ish. I did some rolls for what services are available didn't take the time to roll how many of each there is but there is at least one of everything on the list. You can find the information located in Al-Qadim: The Land of Fate (Maps and other Information) it's the last entry.

Granted I realized I put on there that a burglar is available which should be less publicly known so just pretend you don't know that unless you're a rouge class and have gone to a local guild.

And the only one the trick works on is Emma and the Djinnlings... which also happens to be the name of my REO Speedwagon cover band.

Re: Word on the Streets: OOC Chatter pt 2
Sorry I haven't posted recently. I'm at Gary Con rolling dice (which seem to hate me, so far) and don't know if I'll have a chance to catch up and post until Sunday night/ monday.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Re: Word on the Streets: OOC Chatter pt 2
Did we set up a group fund? If so is it no an NPC? I can offer Abrex as a holder of the funds and should he move on those funds can be provided to any other character? I just want to figure out if Abrex needs to pay the stable and Inn or if we need to total it up and take it off the group funds?
