Ch. 3: Hell's Bells
Re: Ch. 3: Hell's Bells
Tanner
Sorry about that, friend. I was afraid you couldn't breathe.
When preparations are made to transport Rool, Tanner will gather any of Rool's gear that he can find. He'll play escort for the master Thief and Odilo.

Rool Diov, Thief in Foliage
"I appreciate the effort," Rool replies to Tanner. "There was one of those damn, stinking bird-demons in that room! I think it infected me."

Re: Ch. 3: Hell's Bells
Tanner, seeing what has to be Rool but covered in tentacle-like growths, tries to trim them back. "Argh!" exclaims Rool with a weakened voice. "That hurts ... it's like pulling at one's hair ... when your scalp is ... sore."
Odilo takes the Unseen Servant's ring of regeneration and starts to place it on Rool's hand. But then he notices that Rool is already wearing two rings. The archmage is well aware that trying to put an additional ring on either hand will, at best, render both ineffective. At worst—well, magic rings sometimes interact in bad ways. Rool would probably like to retain use of his hands. Tanner holds on to the ring for the moment.
Hallagad steps forward and lays hands on Rool, just as he had done with Tanner a day before. The tendrils fall out from their roots.
(Hallagad can cure disease one more time this week).
You reluctantly catalog the remainder of the Unseen Servant's belongings, knowing that you may need them:
-----
Status: Tanner (H CG F19): 68/107; Hallagad (H LG P15(Pelor)): 67/93; Xale (D NG C14[9](Dalt)/F13): 74/75; Risdac (Giant NG MU17): 47/58; Odilo (1/2E NG MU17): 21/54; Malibran (H LG C20[13](Pholtus)): 62/90; Rool (H LN T20): 38/85; Arex (E NG F13/T16): 56/56
Effects: None
Light Sources: Continual light coin (Tanner); Continual light dagger (Odilo); Light (on Shield, Malibran): 5.8 turns

Tanner
As The Unseen's gear is inventoried, Tanner watches the perimeter. This place is worse than Grimtooth's Toolshed.
If we decide to share out the Monk's magical gear, I'll wait until last. I'd rather not look as greedy as a wildfire.

Malibran suggests "take what you need, Master Tanner, I will find no benefit from these enchantments."

Rool Diov, Appreciative Crime Boss
“Thank you Master Hallagad”, Roll says to the Paladin after being healed. “May Pelor’s favor continue to guide thee.” The Master Thief isn’t religious, but he offers the comment to support to his friend's faith.

Re: Ch. 3: Hell's Bells
Are we all back together? Is there a safe room we can hole up in to recover spells before proceeding?
Re: Ch. 3: Hell's Bells
Xale definitely needs to recover spells.

Arex
I believe we are all together based on OOC discussions in that forum and that we are in room #2 of the map provided in that forum. My post below is based on that information.
Arex says, "Now that we are all together let's settle down for a nice rest. I can take any shift my new friends. This room should be fairly secure. At least I hope it is. Where ever this is.....conventional walls may not provide any security. Let's hope it is secure enough for us to all rest at least."

Tanner
Tanner nods. The spellcasters should rest first, to replenish themselves. I'll take first guard shift. Tanner positions himself in the North doorway, weapon at the ready.

Xale
Xale find himself a spot against the wall and after a few stretches sits down against the wall. "Let me know if I am needed." Gaining his focus he begins to silently pray to Dalt.

Malibran, with a moment to think, consider Risdac's condition. "Master Mage, perhaps an attempt to the remove the supposed curse upon you would revert you back to normal? If indeed you still want to return! I imagine being in that form has it's advantages!"
Malibran will also lay a glpyh of warding outside of the room they decide to rest up in.

Rool Diov, Crime Boss
“Not so much a curse, but a result triggered from the foul energies that permeate this River Styx,” Rool adds to the conversation. “I fear so long as we travel this Liquid Road, it will be an insurmountable risk, favoring Chaos, to attempt another magic alteration.”

Re: Ch. 3: Hell's Bells
Risdac Egargi
I will admit, I do miss my previous, dashing good looks. However, this form does have some advantages, even at the cost of being unable to enter some areas. Alas, even were I to wish to return to my prior self, I'm afraid Master Diov has summed it up rather succinctly. I gained this form through the infernal affect on my magic. Were I to attempt reducing myself, I fear that I could end up with the magic being affected again, leaving me a foot tall- or even shorter. No, for the duration of this endeavour, I will maintain this form barring absolute last gasp, desperate circumstances occurring.
As he speaks, he quickly consumes what you realize is his third ration of the day. Looking forlornly into his pack, he sighs. One left. Looks like tomorrow is going to be a hungry day.

Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. After eating, Risdac settles in for a rest so he may begin the process of recovering his spells.
