Haven't heard from Telemachus (sulldawga) or Vicente (wiglaf). Sulldawga has been off-line for a couple of days but Wiglaf has been off-line for almost a month. I will assume since everyone else is going with Loch that Telemachus will follow along as well.

Shortly before nightfall, you head off to Motely's shack following the directions given to you by the barmaid. True to her word, the shack is exactly where she said it would be but she described it as old. Old doesn't begin to describe the state the ramshackle shack is in. Pieces of boarding are missing surely allowing cold air and inclement weather into the shack. The outside is decorated with animal pelts and horns, signs of the man's trade. Scattered around outside the hut are also animal bones, dis-used traps, and axes both large and small.

Loch

Loch looks around outside, then approaches whatever looks like the entrance and announces himself. "I am looking for the trapper, Motley."

In a gravely voice you hear (think David Bradley*) "And what would you have of him if he were here?"

Loch

"Looking for information about the tracks whatever has been attacking people left behind. We have been sent to help the village out. I am Loch.

Once again, you hear the voice from within the shack call out, "And who was it what sent ya?!"

Loch

"Captain Loris!"

Once more the voice behind the door calls out, "Well why didn't you say so from the start." The door opens and you see a man standing inside beckoning you to enter the shack. He is dressed head to toe in leathers and furs. He is not as burly as one would expect from a woodsman, he has a slight frame but his skin is weathered and wrinkled making it difficult to gauge his age. His hair tells a different story. He is nearly completely bald on the top of his head. The hair encircling his head is long, straggly, and grey. His beard is very much the same. "What is it that I can do to help Loris?"

Loch

"Captain Loris sent us to try to help out. What can you tell us about this beast, no one seems to know anything at all."

Flynn

The Bard says nothing, but begins picking out a soothing tune on his guitar- upbeat, but not rowdy, intended to provide a sense of peace.

Motely waves his hand in a frustrated gestured accompanied by a terse, "Bah! Oh they know, mark my words. They know... They just don't want to acknowledge it. That's their problem." He shakes his pointer finger at you. "Giant rats! That's what they are. Oh there are plenty of the normal sized ones running around. They're the ones spreading the pox they are. But the giant ones! They's the ones taking the animals. I's seen the tracks myself down by old Bengart's place. Giant rats, I'm sure of it!"

Loch

"Any small humanoid tracks? This could be very bad if he is right."

Loch

"In the morning could you show us the most recent?"

Hradian
Yes, answers the rogue in an irritatingly thin whisper.

Loch

"Excellent, can we meet at Jack's Place in the morning?"

Motely nods his head. "Bright and early."

If there are no other questions for him and no one is doing anything else, we can proceed to the next day.
