The bartender, seeing you feel better from the chance to rest, smiles and fetches you an ale before looking at everyone else to see what they want. She then scurries back to the bar to procure the drinks first; afterwards going to the back of the inn to prepare something to eat for everyone.

With Hradian already looking better, one of the farmers steps up and clears his throat. "Wwwill you all be returning to the mmmill?"

Wharram will ask at the Inn if they have a knife he can heat in the fire to cauterise his wound.

He will enjoy some ale while the group talks.

OOC: only 3hp, so I assume this is minor enough to be sufficient.

"Agreed, now we know we can prepare, maybe burning oil or something.." he pauses "...although we don't want to set fire to the fields"

Cauterize the wounds, good idea; I had forgotten, comes the rogue's whisper voice. Hradian will do this and put lard and bandages on the larger ones.

Flynn

Flynn enjoys a light meal, then begins playing his guitar. Requests, old songs, new songs, his own work- he does it all, hoping to lighten the mood and the spirits of the people at the inn. He doesn't ask for money, but he has a purple handkerchief spread on the table beside him, hoping for tips.

The remainder of the evening is spent preparing for the coming morning and trekking back out to the mill. Motely assists tending to Hridian's wounds and smiles when all is complete. "There's always a chance of contracting the pox when those rats bite ya, but I think we have done everything we possibly can for it and you should pull through this alright."

Flynn is able to collect a handful of coppers (8 cp) as the locals enjoy the music which lightens their hearts from the past weeks of hardship.

Once again you spend the night in the inn, rising in the morning to the smell of freshly cooked breakfast. You make your way to the main room where there are plates of breakfast already made up and positioned at the table for you. A couple of locals are also in the main room watching you, hoping to see that your promise to continue back out to the mill is an honest one.

Long Rest
A long rest requires 1d6 days of predominately low key activity. Intermittent battle and modest travel is permissible, but the majority of the day must be spent resting. Recovering at an inn or other safe and comfortable location reduces the time required to 1d4 days.
A long rest grants the following benefits:
  1. All expended class abilities are restored.
  2. All expended Reroll Pool dice are restored.
  3. All attribute point loss is restored (not including Luck).
  4. Recover 1 point of Luck.
  5. Recover half of any lost hit points, plus 1d4 + Con bonus.
I'll allow the inn to act as 1 day for your long rest, so everyone gets the above restores.

Once you finish with your breakfast and the table is cleared, the villagers begin to get antsy, looking at one another to see if someone will stand up and see what your next move is.

You should have half your missing hit point back plus 1d4+CON in addition to half your missing hit points from the short rest.

You head back to the mill following the path Motely showed you the previous day. About half-way to the mill, you begin to smell the sour stench of decay. In a field adjoining your path you see a couple of large carcasses, dead for less than a day as you didn't catch sight of them yesterday.
