If and only if Odo has a clean shot that isn't into melee:

Short bow +1 (THAC0 19): [1d20+5] = 12+5 = 17 [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2

Shades of home, round 2

Initiative players [1d6] = 2, baddies [1d6] = 1

Odo enters. Zef hits it with his battleaxe but it seems to do no damage. Bror hits it again, which does seem to cause injury. Calthas Calthas longbow [1d20+2] = 13+2 = 15, dmg [1d8] = 2 misses. Thurwin fires a magic missile magic missile [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2 which seems to do injury too. Tavin Tavin bastard sword [1d20] = 16, dmg [2d4] = 3 misses. Odo doesn't have a shot that isn't into melee. Sean rushes in, grabbing a torch from Bob.

The thing attacks Bror again Monster attack [1d20] = 16 dmg [3d4] = 6. Bror drops.

Zef and Tavin are in melee with it. Everyone but Calthas and Calmert (and the three torchbearers) are inside. Bror is dying.

Once Zef has Bror out of the way, he'll grab Glimmer and see if he can have some effect on the creature.

If Odo takes care of Bror, that should leave Zef free to grab Glimmer and attack with it.

Realizing no one is coming out of the tower, Calmert charges in! He may try to heal Bror if he's close enough, or cast BLESS; in either case, he wants to assess this opponent.

Zef grabs Glimmer and attacks!

Zef Glimmer hand axe +1 [1d20+4] = 8+4 = 12 damage [1d6+4] = 3+4 = 7

Shades of home, round 3

Initiative players [1d6] = 1, baddies [1d6] = 6
The wraith-like creature turns to its next victim, choosing from those in melee with it (Zef=1, Tavin=2) which? [1d2] = 1 and tries to hit Zef Monster attack [1d20] = 12, dmg [3d4] = 6. Zef feels the spectral claw pass through him and immediately "falls shivering to the ground for the following round (no saving throw), immediately dropping anything he holds and unable to perform any actions."

Zef is out of action. Tavin's dragon strike fails to land. Calthas calthas longbow [1d20+2] = 15+2 = 17, dmg [1d8] = 4 sees his silver arrow hit, but to no effect. Thurwin fires and misses. Odo grabs Bror and attempts to stabilize him. As Bror is stable, Calmert casts Bless.

Tavin is in melee. Bror is stable (Odo can act). Zef is down for a round.

Calthas feels helpless and does not like it. He steps back, anxiously looking for something he could use which would be effective, or someone he could help.
