Session 2: The Dwarven Monastery
Re: Session 2: The Dwarven Monastery
No bolts. You can also carry the crossbow in your weapon slot.
Re: Session 2: The Dwarven Monastery
Yes, Galen should light his lantern.
Bill - nobody took Thag's lantern; it is still in his satchel. You specified you had a third spare. Berry and Galen both carry a lantern in their hands.
If it is alright with Ludanto, I'd like to just hold the "what are we each carrying" confusion to the end of Camp by assuming we can carry whatever-it-is in our arms that far.
Satisfied with the result and knowing, at least, that the room is empty and threat free, Allric waits for Galen's lantern to light their way and urges them back across the courtyard to the tower so they can regroup.

Unsafe Camp: [2d6+1] = 5+1 = 6
Minor Inconvenience: [1d6] = 1
The party lights the lantern and hurries down the hall and across the field without incident. Entering the tower and closing the door behind them, they begin preparing for camp, but Thag is horrified to find his quiver full of spiders that have eaten through his rations, as well as coating them in webs and who knows what else. His rations are ruined.
What now?

Aiofe gets a test to repair something.
Allric gets a test to make an elixir.
Then we have... two checks? Everyone post with how many they have currently.
Checks are needed for:
- Rabon: Cooking to feed the group
- Galen: Try again to make the map
- Allric: Recover from exhausted
- Thag: Recover from exhausted
- Rabon: Recover from Angry
- Aiofe: Study the dwarven book (Scholar)
What else?

Galen still has instinct for map making... Which should just be Cartographer 3 for 3D.Marullus wrote:Aiofe gets a test to repair something.

Cool! Go ahead and roll it.

Map: Ob2

Looks like this time, Galen is able to craft a proper map showing the locations we have visited.Ludanto wrote:Map: Ob2

What is the condition of Rabon's dwarven helmet? The one he found in the tower.
Re: Session 2: The Dwarven Monastery
The helmet could use a polish, but is otherwise in good shape.

Armorer can fix up some crossbow bolts, right?

Rabon immediately moves away from Thag and checks his own pack for infestations. You've got to be more careful, Thag. How long have you been toting those things around? Are they from this tower? Wait. Are they the big spider's babies?! he quickly scans the room for signs the big spider might have returned.
Re: Session 2: The Dwarven Monastery
The "little" spiders (not that little) do seem to have a similar coloration to the larger spider.
Rabon looks around and upstairs and confirms that the spider isn't present, though the open windows seem more ominous now.

Re: Session 2: The Dwarven Monastery
Allric heaves a sigh of relief as they reach the tower, the old man utterly exhausted by the pressures of adventuring - chasing Kobolds, dominating giant wolves, breaking open iron desks, etc. He begins puttering with his potions, as he is wont to do. He thoughtfully picks through his leather case and then takes some dark, tropical beans from his stash of ingredients and begins to roast them, hoping to brew them into an elixir which perks him back up. The fragrant aroma fills the room.
Brewing Elixir: it is unlikely I will pass this no matter what, so I might as well go for curing Exhausted. I am hoping for some sixes so I can spend the Fate to get the extra success. Alchemist 3D +1 Thoughtful = 4D
Elixir [1d6] = 1 [1d6] = 2 [1d6] = 4 [1d6] = 3
...nope.

Re: Session 2: The Dwarven Monastery
Allric brews his elixer thoughtfully, his mind wandering as he does. His attention returns too late to his task, however, and he find his elixer has become a thick, dark, bitter goo. He samples a bit, and his tongue tingles vibrantly, but the taste is just hateful.
Well, it will definitely alleviate Exhausted, but anybody who has to choke that down is going to be Angry.

Rolling to recover pitons! [1d6-1] = 5-1 = 4
Working with a practiced hand, Aoife disassembles her rope & spike stairway to the top floor of the tower. However, the top two pitons are too difficult to reach without risking the collapse of the stairway. Sighing, she packs the equipment back in her satchel.
Anyone need a rope? We have a spare now.
