Zeke

All righty then. Let's go get our bikes and get on our way. But first, I think inside the Vault is the safest place for the Power Armor frame.

Zeke re-opens the Vault door, leaves the Power Armor inside, takes the Fusion Core, locks up the Vault again, and then goes off with Seven to find their bikes.

Seven nods agreeing with the assessment then heads off to get his bike once Zeke is done storing the power armor frame.

Choosing to brave the radstorm after storing away Zeke's power armor frame in the vault, Seven and Zeke continue their journey south to the port settlement known simply as The Southern Docks.

The radstorm partially charged the fusion core, providing a 25% recovery of its charge.

As you two leave the ruined city that bordered the wastes to the north, you find that the landscape slowly changes from an arid dry sand and rock to grasses, trees, and various shrubberies. Already, after a few hours travel on bike, you can detect the scent and feel of the sea in the air. The drop in temperature provides a moment's relief and you suddenly don't feel thirsty all the time. What awaits you though, is not a port town, but a large makeshift wall of scrap metals and woods. The road extended between a mountain pass of sorts, and someone took advantage of that, building what looks like a fort.

You figure that the Southern Docks is just beyond this wall, and the owners of that wall know it. With a searchlight now blinding you to a halt, the sound of a loudspeaker crackles to life. "Pay up and you may pass. Resist and we will shoot!"

Seven rolls his eyes and thinks to himself (well this is just great...) looking to Zeke he shrugs as if not sure what to do now. "How much?!" he asks in a shout.

There is an awkward silence, followed by the sound of a loudspeaker being switched over to someone else. Though not intentional, you can hear a bit of a conversation going on in the background behind the fort walls.

"They aren't resisting! What do we do?"

"What, seriously? They mad? No... wait, gotta be a trap. Give that to me *grunt*.

"*Ahem* You two, down there, how much you got?"

The raider highwaymen are not impressed. They reply thusly: "Those motorbikes look nice. We will accept those as payment. You can keep your caps, yeah?"

"Food is good too," they respond over the loudspeaker. The front gates of the large wall open up. You see a bunch of armed men standing guard just inside, weapons at the ready. The highwaymen weren't kidding about the whole shooting bit earlier.

Seven doesn't draw any weapon yet. He does however reach for one of his saddle bags and pulls out a couple cans of food and tosses em towards the men "Hope ya like beans and stew."

Strangely enough, they are satisfied with this offering. The raider highwaymen let you pass without further incident. You can tell though that they are looking very intently at your equipment. No doubt, if you pass through here again they will ask for more than just a couple cans of food.

Having gone through the mountain pass, you finally see a large stretch of water that extends over the horizon. Mutated seagulls caw as they fly over the ports down below. The sea or ocean before you is a sickly green color. Welcome to The Southern Docks.
