Re: B S Here (II)
The river flows at a fairly steady pace. It isn't a raging current, but it will definitely float a boat along at a good rate of speed.
It isn't necessarily fast enough to drown you if you fell in, unless you cant swim of course.

LOL! Okay, seeing as Chauncey pretty much said, Monocar... smash! If monocar charges to 2 & 3...
1. Will it provoke an attack of opertunity from dude 1...
2. Could he make it to 2 and/or 3?
3. Would he still get the +2 for charge?
4. Could he roll (CHA?) For intimidation as he does any or all of this?

You know, I made a reaction roll for him, winced, and then realized.....he would have totally done that anyway.Scott308 wrote:Brufrig did what I would have had him do anyway.

No. He is currently engaged with Luther.
2. Could he make it to 2 and/or 3?
Yes, but not in time to attack in the same round.
3. Would he still get the +2 for charge?
The men by the rafts are down at the edge of the water. There is a muddy bank that he must traverse down a few feet to get to them, so charge wouldn't be possible in this case.
4. Could he roll (CHA?) For intimidation as he does any or all of this?
Intimidation? Please! This is 1E, sir! (that's a no)
Re: B S Here (II)
Well, no, there are no Intimidation rules, but Monocar, manly ferocious beast that he is, might make them check morale!

Re: B S Here (II)
We will have to chalk that up to the real time confusion of our make believe battle.

Oh, I don't know.....
It seems way more fun (for me) this way.
And, I already had the results written up.
But you could always pay closer attention next time?

We’ll get through this difficult time.
Plus, it is fun this way, and it all seems in character.

Re: B S Here (II)
Judging the speed of the raft on the current, can Alordan fire again at the raft before it passed him? In other words, if he wanted to get on the raft does he have to do that this round, or can he shoot THEN jump?
Also, considering the river path that the followed to get here, is there a spot not far down the river where Alordan can run to and head off the boat as it will be in a 'slow' spot?

Re: B S Here (II)
He doesn't remember seeing anything like that recently, but the river is only visible in short stretches along the trail.
He thinks he could shoot once, and then still attempt to jump for the raft. Landing on it without tipping it over will require a very hard DEX check.

Just looking at Saracen and Avaala's excursion out to the boat and the providence that Saracen cast that Silence before he went up the net and just how cool things can be sometimes. This place needs a "Like" button.

Re: B S Here (II)
Sorry - to clarify: when you say shoot once, do you mean one shot, or one melee (which is two arrows) before jumping?OGRE MAGE wrote: He thinks he could shoot once, and then still attempt to jump for the raft. Landing on it without tipping it over will require a very hard DEX check.

Shoot once = one shot (with one arrow)
