I'm going to open this up again, our ship captain has not posted in over a month, so I am trying to revive action with some on-planet for now. If the captain returns to active play we will determine how to continue with the ship. Of course folks may decide to take passage on another ship. If we need to, I will split the campaign into a merchant ship based campaign and a second campaign.

If new players roll up a character with a ship (since we already have a ship, I will not "help" this situation), then I will decide how to proceed (the new ship might be grounded for repairs, or something, or I may just outright decide to start a second ship).

Me, too. I got a long and busy summer ahead, and I've never come close to playing Traveller, but... If you can use me, I'm in.

I think I could have one slot open for someone willing to be an active player. For at least the short term, it would mean taking over an existing character because I don't want to jigger the crew too much after the recent shuffles we've had, but there might be a possibility of creating your own character.

So if you're still interested, let me know and I'll decide (heck, who knows, maybe I'll take on several new players).

You are welcome to generate characters in one of the following ways:

Use the Unseen Servant Dice Roller and roll your own, doing all the steps.

Using the online character generator:

I haven't heard response (or did I miss something) from anyone on the wait list, I'm just going to re-open this with one or two slots open.

The active players will be departing a Free Trader to join in the expeditions of a Noble with a ship with more flexibility than a Free Trader. The Noble will be an NPC, but will listen to the PCs ideas for where to go, so there will be player direction of the campaign without worrying about how the ship will be funded (the current players aren't interested in Travellers trading mini-game).

So if you're interested, please take a look at the campaign forum, and then post here. I will give priority to those who had responded in the past as long as they respond before things get too far along.

I'm going to flog this again...

There is opportunity for one or two additional players. There's definitely an opportunity to take on the Engineer who is a member household of the noble who owns the ship the PCs will be using. A player who wanted to roll up a character could go for a Navy, Scout, or Merchant character with Gunnery (I can even help with that...).

With a noble patron, the players will have flexibility as to where they explore.

No, Classic Traveller is pretty simple, and really most of the time you will indicate what you want to do, and I'll tell you the mechanics if we even go there...

So far in all my Traveller play by post gaming, there has yet to be a shot fired...

You have been added to the game, go ahead and check out the threads, maybe introduce yourself in the OOC thread, and then jump into the Lady Alicia's thread.
