Phanstern ogles the ring for a few seconds then shrugs his shoulders. Could be useful, but who really knows? He passes the ring to Kayen for further examination.

Any markings on the ring? Gems or some such?

Blodgett offers I'll put the ring on ...

"Hold my youing friend" Dredd stays the halflings hand and puts his hand out for the ring.
"This is of elvish origin. I can discern the words 'friends', 'shatter' and 'jump'. Permit me to conduct some experimentation."

Eljayess finishes cleaning her find before speaking up. "These are prayer beads, useful for those practiced in the healing faith. Typically a potent restorative spell and a blessing."

Turning to Freda she adds, "Yes, I am sure"

From somewhere between above them and the Great Beyond, a spirit that holds on and out smiles in both response and also for the good fortune of its former kindred few. "Only if Mighty Pelor wishes it, my friend. I will remain nonetheless..."

Ogre grunts in satisfaction upon seeing the coins and the gems; then his brow furrows in confusion as his companions begin to do strange things with the other objects. After a long moment; he nods his head in understanding as he realizes that these objects might be magical and his fellow party members are attempting to figure out if they do anything out of the ordinary.

While they are testing the objects, Ogre keeps his head on a swivel and makes sure that nothing is sneaking up on them as they revel in the new-found swag....

Day 1– In the complex - 6:40am

Always interesting when magic item descriptions state that the user automatically knows what they are and what they do. Good for the party any way! :)

The cleric and magic user are happily cuddling their new items. The money should make all a bit happier.

We headed to the stairs?

mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

"well my friends this is indeed a ring enscorcelled with spells. It enables me to cast each spell I mentioned the elvish name of but once and would then require recharging with magical energy to be used again."
Dredd speaks his piece and then too prepares to move out.

I believe we are in the room to the right of the "X" in the first attachment on that post you linked, Dave.

That would be the door marked with an "X" in the second attachment.

So we can head north, with a door or hallway going east after a bit.

"Let's go dis way." Elwita mumbles as she makes her way to the door on the north wall, which opens into a hallway. She says to the group: "Line up. Single file. Bodget, yer up here wit' me." before exiting the room. She leads the group, pausing before reaching the side passage heading east. To Bodgett: "You up fer scoutin' down dat passage?" she says, motion to the east with her head.
