Whoops!

Combat rolls are not normally DARO, but there's an optional rule for going berserk, which I remembered incorrectly. I thought you had to roll triples to go berserk, but apparently you only have to roll doubles.

Here's the house rule post: viewtopic.php?p=363760#p363760

I believe more than one character rolled doubles and therefore had the option to go berserk, so I'll post in the game thread to see if anyone who would like to do so retroactively let everyone know that they can do so from now on (it'll be too much work to figure in the berserker stuff to the previous round).

Spindlethrash bursts forth from his burial mound of rodents, hunchbacked as the day he was born and twice as nude,
That's great stuff there, Starbeard! :D

I'll be on vacation for 10 days, or so, starting this Saturday, 6/22. I'll try to keep up with things, but if I seem to be lagging, feel free to NPC my characters.

It's a family cruise along the inside passage in honor of my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Should be a good time, I think. :)

That sounds breathtaking, I've always wanted to travel the Inside Passage. I've always thought it would be a great setting for a Call of Cthulhu adventure or an X-Files episode.

Just a head's up, I'm still on vacation until Wednesday (August 1st). I'll update before then if I can, but don't hold your breath.

Thanks for your patience. On my trip back home I must have been hit with the travelling blues, since I've been down with the lurgy ever since!

I'd like to take the time here to do a roll call of players still in the game, since there are some we haven't heard from in a while. Anyone who's still in the game, please say so here and post your next action, otherwise after next weekend I'll NPC the abandoned characters and open the game up for fresh meat.

I'm still checking in on this.

This game goes at a really slow pace and could have invited abandonment. If you plan to pick up the pace, it might be reason to send PMs it to everyone.

That's quite true. The games I run tend to go much more slowly than the others on this site. Then again, some players dropped out before the slow drag, though, and also from other games I'm in that move quite rapidly, so there's also the possibility of plain burn out. I often have the habit of biting off more than I can chew whenever I get free time, then having to scale back when things get busy again.

So I've got word from most of you, which is good.

I'll retire Spindlethrash and Biddle to NPCs until I hear back from those players.

Welcome Thebadgamer98 to the game!

TBG: Character creation & discussion happens here, viewtopic.php?f=482&t=6498

When you're done, post your PC(s) to the Stable of Characters thread here, viewtopic.php?f=482&t=6500

Here are the posts that will get you up to speed with the game:

Game Setting & Background: viewtopic.php?f=482&t=6503
Scenario Setup: viewtopic.php?p=302684#p302684

The party finds a white house in the wilderness: viewtopic.php?p=304073#p304073
The house is abandoned; the mailbox contains a business license to operate a Rat-on-a-Stick stand, but the accompanying Build-A-RoaS Kit has been stolen, probably by a troll who lives nearby: viewtopic.php?p=304347#p304347

While exploring the house, they find a trap door leading down into a dungeon: viewtopic.php?p=310753#p310753

After some adventuring, they stumble upon a Rat-on-a-Stick booth: viewtopic.php?p=328999#p328999
After more adventuring, they have searched & cleaned up an abandoned chapel, and have just discovered a secret door: viewtopic.php?p=377172#p377172

By the way, when you've got your PC finalized, post him in the Character Stable thread here: viewtopic.php?f=482&t=6500

You'll be responsible for editing your character sheet to keep track of xp and items. I'll keep track of temporary stuff like hit points in the main thread.

Meanwhile, back in the meeting hall, Doughty scours the place for points and objects of interest, and comes up empty handed. He notes several cupboards small enough to hide a hobb or a dwarf, and one large enough to hide human—otherwise, the place is devoid of notable features.
Foreshadowing? :? *gulp*

Heads up if you haven't seen it yet: there's a Tunnels & Trolls Bundle of Holding sale going on. It still has 6 days left.

https://bundleofholding.com/presents/TunnelsAndTrolls

The $7.95 bundle includes the "T&T Adventures Japan" Quickstart rules (which I think are more robust than the ones we're using) and 11 solo modules.

The $19.23 bundle also includes the new Deluxe edition of T&T, the Monsters! Monsters! game, a book of solo adventures, four GMed modules, and even a copy of 1st edition T&T.

I picked up the bigger bundle, since that's already cheaper than getting Deluxe T&T in the first place.

How do the solo adventures work? I've heard you talk about them before, but.. I am wary of them. Are they really any good?
