Dieter still detects no magic in the room. Whatever this is, it is "natural" despite Ulster's protests.

The door to the room opposite this one has no slot, only a dark glass panel.

The next rooms north have slots like the first door you examined. The Combat Cartridge is tried but it is too large to fit.

The door to the room with dim light appears to be open. No sound comes from within.

Grimes turns invisible and says "wait a minute, men... let me stroll up there and peek into that dimly lit room."

Grimes will slowly walk toward the room, staying toward the opposite side of the hall, to perk in and see if it's occupied or perhaps another room of odd devices... he'll return immediately to report his findings.

Grimes disappears and you can hear his footsteps recede down the hallway: hard leather on metal.

He peeks in the room and can't help but peek more (because going back and forth will take forever: this is a big module). He finds the remains of a large bedroom with a sitting area. The sofas are broken and moldy, the table destroyed, a desk toppled and bits of things on the ground. There is a large bed sized for royalty and on it is a skeleton, roughly humanoid, draped in disintegrated bits of cloth. A glass window on the far wall provides an eerie dim light which is what you saw from the hall.

Grimes carefully enters the room and heads over to the skeleton, cautiously poking at it with Wave. If it doesn't jump up and try to kill him, he'll search around it for any clues or signs of this poor fella's identity or past.

Question: Does this person look to have been dead for a looong time, or just a while?

As Grimes pokes around the remains he mutters to no one in particular "odd place to have a room, so close to that noisy chamber back there. This place makes no sense."

The person is a full-on skeleton that apparently decomposed naturally. He/she/it appears to "have been dead for a looong time," as one might put it. Grimes cannot make much of it, other than it was human sized and shaped at one time. The clothes it was wearing falls apart at the touch, turning to dust. There is nothing else of note about the skeletal form. The halfling cannot help but to hope it died in its sleep.

Castinus examines the window, which, upon further investigation, appears that it might not be a window. The view through it, a seashore, makes no sense given their mountainous climb (unless this place resides elsewhere) and appears as if foggy, getting foggier the closer the thief looks. As if this isn't a window at all, but a vision of some other place perhaps.

Nothing of use is found by Dieter. Things are too broken or too decomposed to be of any identifiable use.

Grimes casts a sad glance at the remains on the floor. "What a lonely end. I wonder what happened to this guy?" He looks about and shakes his head "I don't like this place, not one bit. Something very wrong here. Let's move along." Grimes goes back in the hallway and looks about nervously.
