Re: Chapter 02: Out and about
Pulling and dragging the elf away from the stunned snake the little illusionist smiles at the half-elf in thanks.
"I do NOT want to be back inside the belly of a snake again so soon after my release. Will the dwarf be ok?" Phoenix inquires, keeping his eye on the area where the snake awaits in confusion.
"My magic won't last long on such a powerful creature. We had best be leaving and swiftly!"

Re: Chapter 02: Out and about
Sorry to bog you guys down with more red tape but due to the slippery/crumbling characteristics of the river bank, Phoenix and Ox please roll a d100 each - for climbing/scaling in hasty retreat while carrying a heavy load.
(while dragging Norbold to safety, you can see that Korin is still knocked out and Snake #1 still stunned)

Re: Chapter 02: Out and about
[1d100] = 7
Phoenix continues to struggle with Norbold up the bank as far as he can."You go and get the dwarf whilst the snake is still stunned, I will carry on here as best I can, or target the Snake with some daggers if necessary."

Re: Chapter 02: Out and about
Seeing that snake is stunned he takes his L.Sword chops the snake attempting to remove his head.
1D100 Roll [1d100] = 4
Are there any bonus to hit or damage since the snake is stunned.

Re: Chapter 02: Out and about
<flubba-splat!> When Ox attempts to chop snakes at the same time as helping Phoenix drag Norbold up a slippery edge, it causes both to lose their foothold*, slip on the river bank edge and land spectacularily on their behinds, cruelly dropping their numb friend in the process. Oh well, Norbold didn't fall very far - and anyway he can't complain at the moment.
Snake #1 remains stunned, with Korin passed out beside it. In fact, everyone on the scene is, for some reason or other, at the moment sitting or lying in wet mud. To an outsider, it might all even look a bit silly!
*( = the d100 rolls)

Whilst the snake is still stunned Phoenix stands and whips out his two daggers, throwing them at the motionless creature.

Re: Chapter 02: Out and about
With a <whizzz-shud-d-d> Phoenix' both daggers hit the snake, injuring it twice. Its ugly neck flops heavily over to one side (luckily not Korin's!), but the creature is still twitching; not dead yet it seems.
Re: Chapter 02: Out and about
The gnome wil back pedal up the slope clutching his staff tightly. If the snake comes around and attempts to run at the fallen elf he will charge it and attack with the staff. Otherwise he will try and get over the lip of the bank.

Re: Chapter 02: Out and about
Korin and Norbold remain knocked out on the ground, while Phoenix places himself at a safer distance.
Mud-stained Ox then lurches forward, slamming his sword into Snake #1, which seems to take some superficial injuries but at the same time, perversely, is now coming to - waking out of its stupor, from Ox' blows!

Re: Chapter 02: Out and about
The gnome will stand firm and heft his staff, in case the snake decides to attack. If it approaches he will charge it and swing with his weapon.
"Ox, look out, it awakens!" he yells dramatically

Re: Chapter 02: Out and about
Phoenix fumbles with his sling and a bullet from his belt pouch. He begins to whirl the weapon with the bullet in but stumbles down the slope of the sandbank as he tries to release the non proficient weapon at the snake.

Re: Chapter 02: Out and about
Phoenix, in a desperate attempt to defend the defenceless, to save friends he only made but a few moments ago but who now lie face down in mud, spins his sling in vain.....or not! The attack fails, but the swirling movement briefly serves to distract Snake #1, as if by a snake charmer giving the remaining standing players a few micro segments to quickly sneak in some suitably bold, daring or decisive action...
