Funny you mention travel - my wife is currently in Hawaii with some of our kids. They were sitting down to pancakes in Oahu when the ICBM alert hit. It was not a relaxing morning for them.

After the stress of the house, move, and all the holiday junk, we just needed a quick retreat.

Ya, rav, we missed the tsunami warnings here by 2 day's, but it turned out to be nothing much.

Drink one for me! It is 15*F here today! but no school means Mr. D gets a day off!!!

They just cancelled school for us too. I'll have to shovel the driveway, but it'd still better than going into work!

Had pipes freeze under the house. Got them thawed before they busted, but crawling around under the house in 7* temps SUCKS!!! Fortunately,although I may not have Jamaican Rum, I did have a bottle of Kentucky Bourbon!

That is rather cold. Here, in the 50s F, and waiting for more rain. The coldest it has been since I moved here was 12 F.

I'll be on a plane all this week and not sure about posting ability so please NPC if I am slowing things down.

I'm sorry my posting has slowed down the last few days. The shipyard I work in is on the Ohio River and has been flooding this past week. Lots of extra work getting everything lifted out of the way of the water. On top of that, I've been fighting off a flu, or something like a flu, for at least the past week. Miserable combination. I'll try not to fall behind, but OM, please feel free to NPC me if I do.
