Part 10 - The Temple Again
Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
"If I had my weapons I would be glad to join you," says Odo. "My equipment may have been stuffed under the bed with me, in that darkness."

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
"Makes sense..." says Calthas, speaking his thoughts aloud. "... to take folks of lesser value if you are going to perform evil experiments."
Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
Odo gives Calthus a queer look then crawls into the darkness to look for his stuff.
Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
Odo find his stuff. It's been rifled through and his coin is gone, but otherwise everything appears intact and none the worse for wear.
The party brings the newcomer up to speed and shows him the crude map that someone (screw it, I suppose Pax has been doing that ) has been keeping...
Sean says, I'm sick to death of bugbears. I don't suppose we could check out some other places. I figure that one who did the spell got away for now.

Zhym, can you add Odo to the characters? Five bonus XP for Odo because you used the Unseen Servant Player Character sheet.

Thurwin - Wizard
Thurwin chuckles at Sean's words and says "Yes, we've had our fill of bugbears, haven't we? Perhaps we head north again? Master Odo, are you up for it, or would you like to rest and regain some of your stamina?"
OOC: Maybe through 227 and take one of those slanting passages (going NE or NW?)

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
"I am well enough," says Odo as he dons his leather armor and straps a short sword to his side. He pats his hip where his coin bag should have been "A bit poorer than before, but perhaps we can cure that." He carefully examines his short bow before nodding in approval. "I am better with this than I am with the sword. How about I settle into the marching order somewhere in the middle where I am more likely to be able to fire arrows than fight hand-to-hand?"

Bror nods then scratches his beard and head a moment "Yeah North, I always liked goin North feels like walkin uphill. Er maybe that's just how it feels ta me." shrugging the dwarf continues to be on the look out for the return of evil doers who take the shorter folk as prisoners and toss them all bound and gagged under beds.

"Welcome Odo. We're glad to have you." he smiles to the Halfling, then looks to the rest of his companions, "Yes, North will do nicely. I guess I always feel like I'm walking up hill... I never noticed."

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
The party heads back to the Hall of Triumphal Evil (227).
This huge, echoing hall was evidently once the scene of great revels celebrating the triumphs of the Temple. The floor of the place is littered with skeletons, skulls, and bones of humans and various humanoids. Here and there are parts of broken chairs, stools, tables, benches, sideboards, buffets, cabinets, and cases. Much of the wreckage has probably been carted off for firewood. Tapestries and trophies still remain on the walls in spots. The former show scenes of raiding, looting, pillate, and rapine; trophies include mummified heads, torn battle standards, hides and skins, battered shields, sundered armor, and a broken broadsword. Dozens of empty cressets and sconces line the walls. The broad steps in the middle of the north wall are of dull black stone, and the descending stair seems most depressing and horrible—though passable.
The hall is empty of living creatures.

Bror "So where to next eh?" still looking ready for battle the dwarf asks the others.

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
The party moves through the hall of the minotaur and up the north hall.
The hall ends in an alcove which is at the base of a stairway which circles counter-clockwise upward. Sean informs you that this is how his crew went upstairs and then out of the Temple. He also shows you the way continuing east but informs you that neither he nor his crew went to that intersection or beyond. They stayed strictly in their area.
The stairs up lead to them cells near where that torturer guy was, he tells you with a shudder. I always hated that guy.

Thurwin - Wizard
As Sean mentions the torturer, Thurwin dryly says "You won't need to trouble yourself with that scum anymore. We assisted him on his way to his eternal reward."
Thurwin points toward the intersection in the hallway and says "North, perhaps?"

The Gnome grimaces at the mention of the torturer. "North sounds good." he says shaking off his negative thoughts.

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
The party heads north at the intersection, after peeking east and south (as one does).
There is a heavy oaken door that is secured by a large padlock, apparently used with some frequency as it seems well-oiled.
Peeking west, you find that the large chamber at the end of the hall is evidently used for storing wood and lumber. Stacks of firewood stand near the entrance, planks and beams at the west end. Just inside the entry are several large lumpy sacks.
