We've always come back to the tower, but I think we've done a good job clearing the top level, we might be able to find a defensible position (maybe one with a secret door in it allowing for escape?)
I like the tower because it's above ground and out from the depths.

Hiring someone to guard it isn't a terrible idea.

Yeah, we could hire some guards and re-equip. One thing to keep in mind, if we hire some guards, we want to make sure we stay low-key at the tower, these clowns know we are poking about and killing people and generally messing with evil, but if we're lucky they don't know where our lodgings are located.

Town works for me. We can update Burne and Rufus while we are there.
