Szmodics, descends the bed sheet rope and 'climb walls' skills from the first floor balcony. After the plant pot drops near him he will aim to fire up at the man on the balcony. He misses, the bolt disappearing off into the early evening dusk.

"We need to skip it, that gamblers fellow is one of the Cray Bros'. They seem to rule some rogue guild and narcotics trade from here. Didn't like me winning his beauty for the afternoon but I drilled her good, all info for the Captain." Szmodics will kick the corpse he threw through the window and see if any of his boots made it into the alley.

"He sneaked in to garrote me but I backstabbed him first. It was Tilly who coshed the bruiser as he set on me."

Szmodics will make for further up the alley away from these gangsters if he can.

There is no time to stop and chat in the alley. Another large earthen pot smashes in the cobbles close to Szmodics, it splinters into sharp shrapnel. Szmodics makes his Dexterity save, nimbly rolling away from the shredding bits.

Grabbing a leather boot he runs off up the alleyway, hopping along while he attires himself.

Behind him he hears shouting, the 'heavy' who burst into his siesta with Tilly, drawing a pistol and shooting at the group as they run off. Rico returns fire with a pistol from his waist.

Heavy vs Rico [1d20-2] = 8-2 = 6 [1d20-2] = 14-2 = 12 damage [2d4] = 5 [2d4] = 6

just hitting through the padded jacket if the man and bringing him down to one knee. Clutching his chest he points to a mob and directs them after you. They stutter along, wary of the group but voice threats of '

Holden and Zoggrot, guilty by association, run after Szmodics and Rico. After about 100 yards you find a couple of street corners and stony overgrown gardens to use as cover. You can either try to let this mob (4 people including the dwarf) pass by or you can fight them off.

A successful hide in shadows role will mean you can surprise backstab them as they walk by. With the cover you can add -50% bonus to the 1d100 roll. If you wait it out in silence I will roll to see if you remain hidden from sight and the group loses track of you.

actions please

Szmodics whispers to the others from the shadows "I don't favour leaving a load of dead bodies behind us but I'd rather not have the Caicos 'mafia' on my trail around a small harbour."

Hide in shadows [1d100-50] = 60-50 = 10,

He feels that he just about remains 'unseen (hide skill is 10%), though his heart is beating and his breathing heavy. He will allow the group to pass and then mug the last one from behind with his dagger.

surprise backstabbing [1d20+2] = 18+2 = 20 [1d4] = 3

Zoggot ducks into the flowers. He's about to let the chasing mob go on their way when Szmodics stabs one. Figuring he's in it now whether he wants to be or not, Zoggrot draws his cutlass and slides it into the back of one of his would-be pursuers.

Hide (1-20): [1d100-50] = 53-50 = 3
Cutlass (THAC0 20): [1d20+1] = 18+1 = 19. Dmg: [1d6+3] = 5+3 = 8/[1d8+3] = 6+3 = 9 (SM/L) Does not include bonus or multiplier for backstabbing.

Holden curls quickly behind a street corner hoping for the storm to pass, he slows his breath and melds within the dark greenery of the garden.

[1d100] = 92

He sees the others attacking and sighs. He reluctantly leaves his spot muttering, "I suppose it's not like the good old times"

He walks to his companions and casts bless on them, "May you be favored in this fight friends"

Rico, hides his large frame behind a street corner, waiting on the footsteps of the group coming closer. As Holden stands to give his encouraging 'Blessing' on the group it is just the distraction he needs to step out of the shadows and behind the man. Blood and darkness envelopes him and he falls limp in the half-orcs grasp, a falchion blade slicing through his guts spilling intestines and breakfast onto the pavement. Rico [1d20+2] = 15+2 = 17 damage [1d6+3] = 4+3 = 7

The half-orcs work as a grisly pair, Zoggrot just a gruesomely halving his foe, slicing the man clavicle to navel. Szmodics also kills his man, a dagger blade stabbing the man from behind, piercing lung and liver. The fourth man in the group, surprised as death surrounds him just gapes, a trickle of yellow staining his pants and trousers. The dwarf from the tavern is not so gruff now, oh for a curtain to hide behind.

Szmodics

Steps of the body of the dead guy and tries to stab with the dagger at the dwarf. "I won fair gold and gal fair and square, not nice to sneak up on a fellow mid siesta enjoying his winnings.

Zoggrot gives the survivors a stern look. "Drop your weapons if you want to live," he demands.

If man or dwarf makes a move to attack, Zoggrot responds with his cutlass.

Holden is sighing at the sight in front of him, he doesn't fear a fight but gruesome scenes never awakened the bloodthirsty warrior that most people seem to possess. He stands there waiting for the others to finish the last one just looking at the garden around him.

The dwarf stands there, gap toothed and open mouthed. He drops a small but club headed hammer on the floor and raises his hands."Woz expecting to just rough you up a bit, nothing more. Sore loser Mr Cray is. He'd just have the 'boys' sport with yer sailor pal only he stabbed one and chucked him off the balcony. I won't say nothing honest."

Rico makes sure of that, smashing his sword hilt over the crown of the dwarfs' head. He looks dazed and glassy eyed, the tough basterd takes another blow to be overcome. The fight is over quickly and in the back alleyway, quietly.

"Some overgrown gardens or a disused cellar will be best to hide their bodies. Best do it quickly. Holden you check a place out. We'll drag the bodies away." Rico orders. As Zoggrot and Szmodics begin to search through the bodies and move them, the young Haldane wannabe pirate receives his first taste of pirate life. Rico clubs him around the face too, Rico [1d20+2] = 16+2 = 18 damage [1d4+2] = 3+2 = 5,non lethal damage, but brutal all the same.

"That'll knock the smile off your face and teach you a thing or two. We are here to aid the ship and gather information not behave like a loose cannon. Trouble and strife ain't what the Captain ordered."

With Szmodics suitably berated, Rico grabs the prone dwarfs legs, checking back down the alley should more folk be following and pulls his load in the direction of Holden.

Holden give me a d4 roll, there are four random places to hide the folk.

A casual search through pockets and pouches brings up

Cray gang loot, [5d20] = 71sp [5d20] = 68gp [1d100] = 84 random

(84)...a rather nice pair of slim throwing daggers. The hilts are carved obsidian and decorated with thin veins of malachite. The two edged blades are silvered and fit into a scabbard with an inbuilt sharpening stone to keep the edges keen. Taken from the two halves of the man's body split open by Zoggrot.

okay, give me an action and decision in which lead you wish to follow up or if you wish to strike lucky some place else.

Holden flenches when Rico punches Szmodics, he didn't expect him to go that far. He hears Rico's order and mobilizes his expertise in hiding.

[1d4] = 2

Holden tries to soothe the situation by making a bad joke, "I am not sure if you have the energy for it, especially you Szmodics since you have been 'drained', he pats him on the back, "but should we head to the the succubus? A missing captain! An angry crew! Lost riches! The story writes itself"

Holden checks the card given to him by his savior.

Szmodics

still has dagger in hand but one look at Rico might persuade him to not retaliate though rubbing the blackening bruise on his chin, it is not something he will lightly forget."Why don't we let Mr Blonde (Holden) act as the party treasurer then, he can divide these coins when we get to the Succubus."

As he drags his dead body away he will let the others know what information he gained from Tilly.

Tilly hasn't seen the silver locket but knows the man is a frequent gambler by the name of Stobart, more recently chasing losses both on and off the table. He did own a few trading ships but now has just two, the Gallant Genevieve and the Antoinette. He trades in mineral reserves, iron ores mostly, the ship is due in harbour soon so he is waiting for them to unload. He owes money to merchants who fund his business.

The locket is slight tarnished but opens to reveal not a portrait but a constellation of stars.

The guy who gave her away is one of the Cray brothers. They run a merchant guild though it is not a reputable one. He has a secret store or base on Grand Turk, no one goes by the old slave fort now because of its' bad reputation and Tarik declaring it strictly off limits...

As Szmodics and Holden discuss custody of the coins, Zoggrot takes the throwing daggers. "These should come in handy," he says, testing the daggers' weight and balance before tying the scabbards to his belt.

Holden finds a spot close by, an old outside latrine. The outhouse is rotting and the cistern full, bugs and maggots crawl over waste. As good a place to hide bodies quickly as you may find nearby.

Buying yourself time, the group head off. The Succubus brothel was mentioned, a place some Captain was last seen and never came out, at least his men don't think so.

The dubious joint, possibly touted by the halfling whose card you have is another backstreet joint at the far end of the harbour. It is located in a three storey villa, blossom vines cover the stonework and from a balcony a basque dressed busty wench leers at the fixated sailors. "Voulez-vous couchè avec moi, ce soir?" she hums in Gauloise. The place is decadently lit with bright aromatic candles and a brazier of faux flame emitting light and heat in the porch hallway.

The brazier is cool to touch though."If you want to play with fire you must be prepared to get your fingers burnt," says a sultry foxy vixen who greets you as you approach.

Do you enter?

As they approach the succubus Holden who is now done dividing the loot hands everyone 17 gold pieces and 18 silver forgoing his share of the last silver, "Now be responsible, and don't spend it all in one place", he says mimicking his father.

When the lady speaks off of the balcony he smiles and gives a small bow, "Any of us would be honored madame".

He approaches the door and kisses the maiden's hand, "Then lead me to the furnace, though we seek more than to simply partake in your fine establishment, we are also here in a more inquisitive nature", he shows her 3 gold pieces, "Not for free of course, we are willing to pay for both if you would have us"

"Oui out, mon petite fleur!" replies a smiling Zoggrot in flawless Galoise. He gestures up to the balcony. "Mais je suis ici et vous êtes sur le balcon!"

He winks at the nearby vixen and nods his head sideways at Holden. "As he says, my friend here is willing to pay and he's inquisitive. You might say he's 'buy curious.' Think you can help him out?"
17gp, 18sp added to Zoggrot's sheet. Also, as a friendly reminder, Zoggrot's charisma is pretty average, even accounting for the half-orc penalty. He's certainly better looking than lots of guys these ladies serve. :)

Szmodics (well rested and eager for more, he didn't know piracy could be so much fun...apart from the black eye of course).

Szmodics will run his hand over the flame from the brazier. he is impressed that it flickers with tongues of fire and emits light and heat without burning him. "How do you maintain that?" he enquiries. Is there any kind of protocol here, just grab a dame and start dancing? What can he see from the entrance way. Does Holden or Rico have a description of the lost captain we are seeking?

"Does the illusion of warmth enrapture you?" the vixen raises a eyebrow at Szmodics and caresses his arms with a length of leather whip. "oh we cater for all here at the Succubus. We turn boys into men and men into boys.", she continues to be sultry, long legs covered in fashioned silks and walking on high glossed stilletto heels, in practised catwalk style. She smiles at the 'bi' jeste though glancing at portraits in the foyer, you note all persuasions are catered for.

The foyer is about 20'ft square. To the left and right are open doors leading to the front rooms of the villa. The one on the left appears to be a smoking room, heavily fragranced by the smell of sweet tobacco's and perfumed bodies. A couple of sailors relax puffing on sisha pipes, they are decorating some well rounded lard arses with outsize stockings and lingerie. Other figures puff on large cigars and talk casual with flirtive escorts.

The door on the right is behind a reception desk and seems to be a converted cloakroom, numbered and keyed lockers are beyond and a small weapons rack is stashed untidily in the corner. Gilded mirrors and portraits cover the walls on both sides. The foyer is completed by the central brazier and a large multi-paned glass wall and glazed door. Looking through that you see a long hallway and a carpeted flight of stairs. A throng of punters and escorts to and fro beyond, though the noise is drowned out by the sealed glass.

"Pay the entrance fee and enjoy the pleasures we have to offer. We can take your outer coats and arms in the cloak room. You may keep your pistols though we don't want them to fire off too early do we?" the vixen says, teasingly and takes -5gp from everyone gives you a card. The back is written in the four 'colonnial' languages and issues warning of etiquette and the practice of safe sex. Rico reluctantly leaves behind his falchion blade. pistols, daggers, short blades, only beyond

As you pass beyond you notice a Floating Eye watching you from the corner, some figure observing your arrival and entrance. It blinks to the vixen and the door opens to the hallway as if by magic. (of course.

give me any last actions or questions in the foyer or side rooms, then I'll narrate the hallway.
