Captain Bremen smiles when he sees the centions take damage from the greenboy hirelings. He nocks an arrow and draws the primitive weapon back, aiming at one of the clerics. He lets the string go and the arrow sails wide. He looks at the others. I can't believe people still use these stupid things. There's no accuracy at all! We've got to save those beasts, dammit. He prepares to charge.

Long Bow [1d20+2] = 8+2 = 10, damage [1d8] = 5

Markd will take out one of his remaining arrows and attempt to hit a cention from behind.
Shortbow [1d20+1] = 11+1 = 12; [1d6] = 2

Sorry... actually out of town on vacation and forgot to post something... oops

Bandy fires an arrow at the smallest Cention...

Shortbow [1d20+2] = 15+2 = 17 Damage [1d6] = 6

Now hemmed on two fronts, Centions choose to rush the two stablehands and take over their fortified position. Neach and Guaire both hurriedly release bowshots but neither hits or slows the scorpion men. The party fires from behind, Bandy's arrow dropping the smaller acolyte to the turf, it's body unmoving.

The Bowman reaches them first, his scorpion tail flashing forward with deadly accuracy and impailing Neach, who drops to the ground, convulsing with venom. The acolyte prays aloud as he touches Guaire with the flat of his hand. The second stablehand's face goes white and he screams in terror, abruptly fleeing the campsite and mounts, heading over the ridgeline.

That little coward... mutters Captain Bremen. He moved forward again, enough to keep himself at mid-range, and looses another arrow - this time at the bowman. Better than his last shot, but he grumbles about the primitive weapon anyway.

Long Bow [1d20+2] = 17+2 = 19, dmg [1d8] = 2

Bandy likewise fires at the bowman...

Shortbow [1d20+2] = 17+2 = 19 Damage [1d6] = 2

Markd fires as well, knowing it is their best shot.

Rolled 11.

The Centions move swiftly into the fortified camp, using the cover against the party which was meant to be used against themselves (partial cover, -2 AC). Neachdainn convulses on the ground as the poison wracks through his body. Their bowman fires a shot which sails over the heads of the party, but exposes himself long enough to get hit by bowshots from both Bremen and Bandy (-2, -2). He ducks back behind cover again as he draws another arrow. "Come! Face us with strength, not this tossing of wood!" taunts the acolyte, calling to you from behind cover.

Captain Bremen is put out by the sudden revelation that the centions speak the common tongue. Now you're​ willing to talk, now that you're outnumbered and about to die!? And it's your​ buddy what started shooting arrows, not us. He thinks a moment before continuing.You stabilize that kid, Neech and we can talk terms. If that don't happen, we're happy enough with our odds in this.

CHR 15 vs [4d6] = 21, [5d6] = 25Might as well keep shooting, I suppose.

Markd continues firing his few remaining arrows, (think down to 2 after this one... rolled a 12 once again... at least he is consistently mediocre.)

He begins to move in for any chance of saving the downed squire, perhaps why his shot is still off.

Feeling no need to be chivalrous with the Centions, Bandy continues firing his bow, as well...

Seriously? Man, I have a short attention span...didnt remember that at all...

Arrows fly back and forth, neither side landing any shots. Bremen yells for them to surrender and stabilize the poison-wracked stableboy. Having the benefit of the fortified high ground while you stand in the field and all your shots missed, the Centions do not respond to the demand.
