Is a character's alignment how they see themselves, or how a typical * Good party sees it? When I created Uilon I thought of him as Neutral Good (NG), but non-druid humans and dwarves may see his actions as CN or sometimes even NE, while elves may see it as TN.

From Uilon's point of view and the Player's handbook's definitions, he's definitely not C*, or *N; but I think druids, clerics, and paladins may see alignments differently than other classes. Add in that Uilon also doesn't exactly follow the typical druid TN long term view, and things get more confusing. I'm just gonna play his bond, personality traits, flaw, and ideal straight for now, until I figure alignments out.

Sorry it took me so long to post. I didn't see the new threads until just now. The site normally informs me of new posts.

I'm also subscribed to the root level of the forum, but didn't get emails about the new threads OOC2 or Chapter 5. I thought I just saw and then subscribed to those two threads before the email was sent.

Physically checking the "board index" page for new posts is far more reliable than the subscription method. Actually, I have found it to be foolproof.

Indeed.
I don't subscribe to threads > it has always been unpredictable and unreliable for me. (shrugs)

As for alignment, I think it is a mix of how they see themselves and what they portray through their communications and actions. I like what you said and if you play that way, Quilon's true alignment will shine through.

Uilon wild shapes into a hamster. ;)

Uilon will wait for Kelton to butter up the guards.

Sorry I haven't been so responsive as of late. I got very sick and am only now coming out of it. I'll post more as soon as I can.

Thanks! I think I'm out of the woods. Breathing is tricky for me at the moment, but I'm otherwise functional. Should be up to posting again tonight!

Hey fellers > you might notice I combined a post or two and deleted some others in the current IC thread. I did that because I goofed > I erroneously had you at the Driftwood Tavern...which is not within the Protector's Enclave district. It is rather down by the docks at the most western end of the city, just outside the ruined wall protecting Castle Never.

My bad and sorry for the confusion.
I'm just glad Kelton decided to push on!

Hey fellers > for the next three days I will be online as much as possible. Hurricane Matthew might have other plans for us here in Wilmington but I plan to move this game along a bit. ;)

Way off topic.
Mark Allen Thornton's stylometry script shows which famous writers (with public domain text) your style is closest to. I put in my 2 posts from page 2, and the result was:
+0.45 William Dean Howells (?)
+0.43 Willa Cather (?)
+0.42 Washington Irving (heard of, but never read anything by him)
...
-0.03 Lord Byron (meh)
-0.10 Lewis Carroll (yay)

All y'all's?

Uh, nevermind - that program may have some serious bugs. I pasted Lewis Carroll's poem "Echoes" into it, classified as "A famous writer", "Other fiction". Lewis Carroll's poem is classified as least like Lewis Carroll... Most like Crane.

Using many paragraphs from the start of chapter 7 of Alice's adventures in Wonderland, classified as "Fantasy", and it listed the text's style as 3rd least like Carroll. Most like Crane.
