Captain Bremen is good to go. He appreciates not having to take a watch overnight.

Marullus, do we need to come up with a long lasting issue for Breman due to self stabilizing? If so, I'll give the matter some thought though input is welcome.

Irving is ready to go. He leaves construction of a gurney to smarter folk but gladly picks up one end when the time comes.

Markd helps with whatever task he is asked, though he moves very slowly and has to strain to lift anything.

Did those hours sleeping move us up one, or are we still right at zero? I assume we need to tie the sling to a horse, as we wouldnt have the ability to carry if still at zero.

Bandy Sandybanks

"We could always tie a blanket to two long poles and drag the poles behind one of the horses..." Bandy says, eyeing the situation with the Captain.

If help is required in doing that, he will assist. But then he slowly and carefully pulls himself up onto his pony, Mitch, and rides back to town that way. He will go as slow as the slowest person/pack animal.

"I'd like to keep him off the ground, if we can," says Irving. "I'll hold the other end of the poles and we can have one of the animals pull."

The party packs up their campsite and arranges for transporting the unconscious Bremen. The going is slow but steady, but you never shake an uneasy feeling, like you are being watched. You pause and try to confront any pursuers but never get sight of them. You finally reach the river ford at about mid-afternoon. You get across the swollen watercourse on the rafts, then onward to reach the city as the sun is setting. The group remains wounded, but all have made it home except for Kellstrom and now have the time needed to recover.

Time: 13 May 9:00 pm
Light source: Sunlight
Injuries: Bremen (mortally wounded) Bandy (grievously wounded) Markd (grievously wounded) Olaf (grievously wounded) Irving (lightly injured)

Expedition Summary
Location: The Barrowdowns
Encounter: Skeleton guards
Encounter: Lady by the fountain
Encounter: Kellstrom turns the tables
Encounter: Gargoyle Crypts
Encounter: The Cleric's Court
Encounter: The Weeping Queen's Tomb
Encounter: Green Slime Flambeaux
Encounter: Bugs in the Boxes
Encounter: Waking the Wight
Encounter: Kobold and Ogre Ambush

Explored one map hex
Explored 6 days
Explored six dungeon rooms

Treasure Collected:
30cp 2,600sp 180gp

Total: 10,890 character XP / 10,449 item XP
Per Character: 2,178 character XP / 2,090 item XP each

Next Steps:

Divide up the gathered goods.
30cp 2,600sp 180gp total -
This includes 800sp (plates), a 10gp (censer), the rest in coins.

Decide what happens with Piety the mule and also all of Kellstrom's goods.

Open a Memorial for Kellstrom at the Chapel of Baudh. (Bremen's 9gp already counts, plus anything returned to the church, including Kellstrom's goods. Plus any coin donated in his honor by the group)

Timestamp:
You all enjoy a well-deserved rest in town, from 13 May to 25 May to match the current time stamp. You can leave, but will miss the Greenleaf festival. Assuming you stay for the festival, we extend your stays to 02 June. That is 20 days in town, which gives you two weeks of rest to earn bonuses. Please post in the Golden Tooth Tavern to account for your stay.

- you can pass the time for free at the Infirmary. You get no bonuses, and need to post a confession IC.
- you can stay in the common room for 5cp/night, or 10sp total.
- If you need private rooms (to study or do magic things, for example) then you can get a basic room for 2gp or a suite for 6gp.

- If you buy poor meals, you can pass the time for 2gp total. You get no bonus.
- If you buy common meals, you can pass the time for 6gp total. You get +1 to savings throws for the first two days of your next expedition.
- If you buy good meals, you pass the time for 10gp total. You get +2 savings throws for the first two days of your next expedition.

You can organize and begin an expedition as soon as you wrap up the treasure and such, if you like, as it will set out on June 2 and run concurrently with the Greenleaf Festival.

So the money is 36g 520s 6c each. I assume we'll just split it that way and deal with any of Kellstrom's stuff separately. Not finding any notable items makes the division easy. :)

Quoting to make it easier to discuss what we do with Kellstrom's stuff:
Stirling wrote: 1 leather sandals worn
1 denim dungarees, linen shirts worn
1 leather belt and 3 waist pouches worn
1 book of psalms and devotional left pouch
1 leather sling and sling bullets x20 right pouch
1 twin spiked chain mace left scabberd
1 chainmail longshirt & mail coif helm AC 5 worn
1 Mule, battle familiar trained lead by hand
2 saddlebags mule
1 bedroll and woven prayer mat saddle bags
1 Lantern, with shutters saddle bags
6 Flasks of lamp oil saddle bags
6 3x wineskins and 3x waterskins Mule
1 gold plated weighing scales 25gp Rear pouch
1 heavy woollen habit, embroidered Baudh star on back worn
10 Scented meditational candles and matches Habit inner pocket.
1 Leather capped scroll case, Commune spell. Right scabberd
5 Days of Preserved Rations Trunk
5 Days of Unpreserved Rations Trunk
1 50ft hemp rope, Trunk
8 Torch firebrands Trunk
6 Days of Mule. Seed and feed Trunk
1 Mess tins, tinderbox Trunk
1 Spade, small hammer & chisel, spare cassock Trunk
5 Large sacks ( body bags)... Trunk
1 Round shield Trunk

And the mule: Piety with battle familiarity.
Does anyone remember without having to dig back through the thread how much of that we brought with us?

Wow. I was sure that was a TPK with the kobolds. Irving is a total hero. Too bad we didn't get what we were after and no one saw it.

Bremen is all in for a memorial to Kellstrom but thinks whatever it is should contain a left handed compliment about taunting living statues and grabbing regenerating skeletons. But most of his coins will go towards tributes to himself. ;) Though if he happens to hear about a certain, magical crossbow...

Edit: I was under the impression we took it all aside from the clothes on his back. Though we used 2 flasks of oil on the slime flambeaux. (Love that name, Marullus.)

Irving would like to lay claim to the mule, and will chip in 5gp to a tribute to Kells as part of his church tithe out of his share of the proceeds.

That mule's worth 45 gp book price. We didn't count that in our loot distribution.

Here's the book value of everything Kellstrom had:
1 leather sling and sling bullets x20 right pouch 2
1 twin spiked chain mace left scabberd 5
1 chainmail longshirt & mail coif helm AC 5 worn 70
1 Mule, battle familiar trained lead by hand 45
2 saddlebags mule 0.2
1 bedroll and woven prayer mat saddle bags 0.1
1 Lantern, with shutters saddle bags 9
6 Flasks of lamp oil saddle bags 0.6
6 3x wineskins and 3x waterskins Mule 6
1 gold plated weighing scales 25gp Rear pouch 25
1 heavy woollen habit, embroidered Baudh star on back worn
10 Scented meditational candles and matches Habit inner pocket. 0.1
1 Leather capped scroll case, Commune spell. Right scabberd 1
5 Days of Preserved Rations Trunk 2.5
5 Days of Unpreserved Rations Trunk 1
1 50ft hemp rope, Trunk 1
8 Torch firebrands Trunk 0.3
6 Days of Mule. Seed and feed Trunk 3
1 Mess tins, tinderbox Trunk
1 Spade, small hammer & chisel, spare cassock Trunk 2
5 Large sacks ( body bags)... Trunk 1
1 Round shield Trunk 10
Ugh. Sorry about the formatting.

That's a total of 184.8 gp. The most valuable things are the mule (45), chainmail (70) (assuming we took it), scales (25), shield (10), lantern (9), and mace (5). At 50% resale value we're looking at 92.4 gp to add to the pot.

I suggest that we add the value of the mule to the loot pool and let Irving use part of his take to take the mule. That gives each of us 9 more gp, with Irving taking 45 of his "gp" in the form of the mule. The rest of the stuff we give back to Kellstrom's temple. That should give us 139.8 worth of "tribute," right? Or am I misunderstanding how this works?

That would be all of Irving's take, and he started with no cash at all--a good reward for saving everyone :(

Oh, so Irving's going to play the "I saved all your lives" card to get more than an even share of loot, is he? :D

The mule wouldn't be all of Irving's take. The loot is 36g 520s 6c each without the added 9gp for the mule. I know Irving isn't the greatest at math, but that's a little over 97 gold pieces per person with the mule added in. Kellstrom could take the mule and 52 gold pieces worth of coins.

He's terrible at math! And no, he won't play that card--but he considers it a modest request. With there being enough gold left over to survive on, though, he's fine with that approach.

Bandy won't argue if Irving wants a bit more. If not for him, Bandy would be dead most likely.

If the Captain were in better shape, he'd put up a fight about it. But he isn't. So Irving can take the mule without paying for it. Besides, Irving is likely going with Markd again anyhow. So Bremen will have use of it. As an aside, Bremen suggests we all put our item XP into the mule and turn it into a unicorn. Or a docile centaur we can abuse.

The chain mail was definitely not burned/buried with the body. Captain Bremen is too self-serving and saw the value in keeping it.

For the next Mission from Baudh, we should be keeping the saddle bags, rope, torches, mule feed, preserved rations and sacks. And the commune scroll (and case) if lay people can use it. What's it do, anyway?

Marullus wrote: It is a Commune clerical spell scroll. (p. 20) Using this scroll (i.e. one use), a cleric of any level can take 30 minutes to cast and pray, and ask three yes/no questions of Baudh.

Okay. We've got no use for it. How much is a magical scroll with in memorial value?
