I think it's wise to put healing hits over paralysis, and even putting healing KOs over healing hits from characters still standing.

The Grizzly Woman recovers her senses and looks around in frustration. She grows weary of these ghouls, and looks forward to whacking one across the head.

So...are we healing Corbin or just dressing his wounds?

he failed his saving throw so he's paralyzed right now. I was waiting to here if he feels he needs healing. We can wait for the paralysis to wear off. Clay is halt to heal him if he needs it. He's taken damage at least twice.
While we are waiting, we can move him away from the tunnel entrance and move the pack animals and bear to the surface. I won't post IC for a while so others have a chance to post. I've been really active lately. ..

Baxtaw- Pulls the string of his bow back ready to fire if any more emerge thru the opening. As the others tend to the wounded.

Halfpint and Baxtaw cover the tunnel with their bows, everyone wary of more ghouls emerging and waiting expectantly in the long silence.

Casper bends down and calls upon Gwanwen to spare the Grizzly Woman once again, shedding his own blood to forestall her transition to the afterlife. After 10 minutes she groggily comes to, waking after the battle becoming a habit.

Corbin drops under the ghoul's vicious blow, bleeding from his laid-open clavicle, then stiffens with paralysis from their touch. None move to stabilize his critical wounds, perhaps thinking they're less serious than those that felled the others. After close to 20 minutes, no ghouls have emerged, but Corbin's body relaxes, a rattling sigh as he shifts from paralysis to the normal slumber of the wounded.

"Think it's safe to go in yet?" asks Fingers as he scratches Sprinkles behind the ears.

Clay Weatherwax
As Corbin's body relaxes, Clay kneels beside him. He picks up a handful of dirt and mixes it with some water and his own spit, making a thick paste. He places it over the wound, pressing down firmly. With his left hand he passes his wooden beads over Corbin's prone form and recites several prayers. The sands beneath the two adventurers shift, leaving a series of concentric circles around them and his wounds heal.

Cure Light Wounds [1d8] = 8

When Corbin has recovered, Clay suggests the pack animals are moves to the top and left to graze with the bear and owl. Clay speaks to the pack animals and bear. He attempts to explain the bear and owl will protect the others; they should stay together and avoid any of the creatures we have seen so far. They should also be wary of Kumsar, the invisible cat with butterfly wings. He isn't at all surprised when they all give him blank stares with the last part.

Should we leave the a dog with the animals?

Once we have that set, let's go in that tunnel! A small group, then a larger one when we are safely through.

If you're talking about Sprinkles, Fingers won't go anywhere without him.

I was talking about either dog, really. Morr is at level 2, so I think he is a bit tougher. So I was going to have him go into the tunnel first. Would Fingers let Sprinkles take point? If so, Clay would leave Morr with the pack animals. I just feel bad for bear. He'd need to act as a shepherd for all those donkeys/mules/horses/ponies.

Dogs level? That changes everything! :)

Fingers isn't keen on putting Sprinkles on point. Sprinkles is a guard dog, not an attack dog, so he wouldn't be best on point anyway.

Clay is such a sorry fighter so that is where I put all my item XP. After we get back, Clay would be willing to spend some time trying to train sprinkles and Morr more. It'd just cost Fingers (the agnostic/atheist) a favor in Beith's name. ;)

Thanks. Fingers will consider the offer. He's pretty protective of his dog, though. I'm not sure he really wants to train Sprinkles to sic'em. :)

I say we leave the bear with the animals, and take the two dogs who have proven their worth.

Corbin sits up with breathlessly, feeling at his wound that nearly killed him. He grins when he finds that it no longer pains him, and thanks Clay.

Halfpint keeps her bow ready, watching as they finish any first aid.

Whatever we do, I do not want to lose Peck. Make sure he is well guarded.

Casper White

"Ted will be fine grazing on his own, and he has some fighting skill. With the bear to guard the animals, I think they will be alright outside. But...if we need a pack animal, I'll bring Ted along; he could be useful if we need to carry out any wounded or better yet, any heavy treasure."

Clay leads Asala up the stairs to allow her to graze. He leaves the saddle bags tucked within some nearby rocks, covering them with brush for safe keeping. He instructs her, along with any other pack animals nearby to stay with the bear. He conveys to the bear that the animals are his charges and he should keep them together and safe.
Avoid the foul creatures if you can. The owl will help keep watch.
.

Speaking more directly to Maurice, he asks the owl to keep an eye out for ghouls or other threats. If they are near, to alert the bear.

He pats Asala on the head and returns to the cavern with Morr and the others. How should we go about this?

Marullus, could Clay still turn the undead if he were third or fourth in line?
I was thinkinG: Morr (because he is fierce and can warn us if there are any nearby ghouls), then Corbin with his spear (attack from second rank), then an archer (perhaps able to fire past Morr and Corbin if they tuck to the side), then Clay (to turn the undead). If that isn't possible, I am open to suggestions.

Silent can also go up front if you need. Or rear guard.
