House Rules

Initiative and Spell Loss

Roll D10 for Initiative. That is your initiative number. (Low numbers go first)

If you doing a melee attack, you go on your initiative number. (number+5 if your using a two handed weapon)

Spell casters That number on the die is when you Start casting your spell. Add casting time and that is when you finish casting.
If hit Prior to starting casting, you can't cast the spell that round but don't lose it.
If hit during the casting, your spell is disrupted and lost.
if it after, then its meaningless to the disruption as the spell is already cast.

Ranged attacks - Bows attack after the first attack on bows that get more then one attack a round happen at +6 intervals.

Let me know if there is any questions.

-10 HP Rule

1. PC's will be afforded -10 HP's before full character death.

2. A PC at 0 HP's is considered stable (do not "bleed") yet unconscious and unable to function until restored to at least 1 HP.

3. PC's with negative hit points "bleed" an additional HP per round (tallied at the beginning of that round) until reaching -10 at which the PC is considered dead. Any Character who is awake can use a round to bandage the wound, which will stop the bleeding.

4. PC's with negative HP's can only recover HP's via non-natural means (magic, potion). (After the battle, they will recover to zero.)

5. All normal resurrection rules then apply per the PHB once the PC reaches -10.

6. NPC's, creatures, monsters etc. are not afforded this rule. 0 means dead.

7. NPC's, creatures, monsters etc. consider a PC slain at 0 HP's. In essence they will not continue to hack a PC down to -10 HP. (Note: if the players flee the monsters generally will finish off the fallen.)

Experience Points

The following rules will apply to experience points:

1. I give out Role playing points, Generally they are group points, but on occasion, I will give a player a small amount for something really good.

2. When group experience points are given out the total will be divided by the number of surviving PC's, as well as any NPC's in the party.

3. All tallying and results will be conducted by the DM.

4. PC's resurrected during a given encounter does not receive any experience points except for Role Playing XP.

5. The formula for determining total experience points in each encounter will be known only to the DM. But It is something like XP from Gold, XP from creatures and XP from Roleplaying.

6. PC's gaining enough to level up still gain the remainder of experience points beyond that new level. This differs from the DMG rules.

7. In the rare instance it may happen, PC's may gain more then one level at a time. This differs from the DMG rules.

8. Since this is a PbP, and we do not have a "end of Session" like a tabletop game, the DM (me) will decide at set times to divvy up XP. Having a good night (uninterrupted) sleep, or heading back to town is a good way to make sure that XP is granted.

9 The divvying up of treasure is up solely to the players to decide.
