Date: Skullmont 13, 1:40 pm
Season: Early Fall
Light Sources: Brother Galen (Lantern, 3 hours, 30 minutes remaining), Climent (Lantern, 3 hours, 30 minutes remaining)
Time since rest: 40 minutes
Moon phase: Waxing Gibbous
Location: Chapel

The group rigs up a stretcher out of two spears, a blanket and a rope.

The next challenge... who will carry her? Once you leave the dungeon, it is 70 minutes back to camp, and 90 more minutes back to town (2 hrs 40 minutes total), if you can keep your encumbrance down, so it would be a forced march back to town at this point (you'll have been working for 8 hours at 4 PM). It's 2 hrs 10 minutes back to camp if you are moving at 30, and an additional 3 hours back to town if you are moving at 30. This makes it (most likely) a forced march to camp or town at that speed.

Also, Randolpho doesn't want to help carry.

This is where Solaine would like to request that no heroic measures be taken to save her life. :D

Why wouldn't we use just the blanket? That keeps our combat options open, and we can worry about something better when we get outside. As for healing, my intention is to use CLW tomorrow morning.

Comfrey really only works in the time immediately following being wounded. It doesnt work the next day. It's "first aid" rather than a long term care option.

Randolpho doesn't want too, Solaine's heavy, and he's weak, but he will if necessary.

Yeah, hoisting her in the blanket alone makes most sense until we are clear of the dungeon. Then we can whip up something more sturdy for getting her off the mountain.

Sure, you can hoist her with a blanket. There are also other things you could build something out of "around" if you have ideas other than the spears.

Damn you, DM! Why must you muddy the waters with your anti-blanket bigotry?!

As for the comfrey, I forgot it had to be right away. Thanks for the reminder. Galen will indeed treat her now, on the off chance his CLW rolls suck tomorrow.

Alright, so the comfrey heals 1 hp of damage. It's a start.

As far as the body carrying, there might be some optimization possible, but two people can carry her, if you move 30. Emm and Audi volunteer. If someone else wants to do it, they can step up. Otherwise, what next, folks? Any last stops, or do you want to just go back? How do you want to leave the treasure room and the orc room? Did you want to carry those giant oil jars, or leave them? Anything else...?

Sorry, though I was thinking there might be a way to share the load to go faster, I don't think it's worth futzing over for too long.

Steel's gonna help carry her unless someone objects. "Are we sure we don't want to smash the beetle. I'm sure its expensive, but its not worth more death...

"Not our own, certainly," Brother Galen says, "but such a deadly implement might prove useful, even if just against the horrors here..."

Alright, so I think we're stuck.

Friday I'm gonna have you set off for the camp, with no further plans, unless you say you want to do anything else in the dungeon.

Things you *might* be thinking of doing...

Dealing with the "head".
Picking up Steel's bag (including 2 masks) at the entrance.
Doing anything with those bodies near the steel door.
Doing something in the orc room (looting or whatever)

So let me know if there's anything else, then we'll move along...

Torgyr stows the tinderbox containing the scarab in his back, taking pains to put most of his gear between him and it. He sees Galan staring at his preparations and explains.

"I think it awakens with body heat - but even so I'm not taking any chances. If this thing kills me, you'll be dragging two of us to the priests."

"I think we need to make haste. Leave the head for another time, leave off any further looting. The sooner we quit this place, the sooner we can get back down the mountain and making preparations to get ourselves to Adamas. Steel, don't forget to grab your war masks on the way, though. We may feel the need to hawk them in the city."
