Working on trying to do the final wrap-up for the "rescue mission" expedition, but it's taking longer than expected, so it'll be late tonight when I finish! (especially for you east coasters)

Will Kennit, Galen, and Marge be returning to action, or are they to be retired (at least for now)?

I may want to revisit Marge at some point....let's say she wandered off into the woods for a while once they returned. She has a tendency to do that. She may or may not come back.

I have a timing question.

The forces of the Battle of Vaul were arrayed on May 10.
The reboot post was dated May 16.
Numen's funeral was the morning of May 12.
It takes half a day to get from the Tower of Wendall to Vaul.

So...how long did the battle last, exactly? If it lasted two days, Lug might have made it back in time to fight (and get himself a nice meaningless title). Might even have charged in all Gandalf-like to turn the tide of battle.

It only lasted the night of the 10th to the 11th; the other time was skipped to allow a window for reconstruction and recovery.

Change "intelligence" to "wisdom" in the bolded text and I think that's all pretty spot-on. Lug actually has average intelligence. It's just that he has all the wisdom of a month-old puppy.

I like that the conversation about Lug's character is playing out simultaneously with his effort to talk to and/or kill another adventurer within the city limits.

I am loving the Varas/Lug scene...though I found it funnier when they were yelling at each other.

Apologies if I missed a posting about this, but will there be a limit on the number of PCs we can have active at any time or on the number of expeditions?

As great as it is to have the game back, I'm a little worried about re-creating the problems that led to the hiatus by getting too many expeditions going at once.

I'm not going to add any new characters at this point--this is about the maximum I think I can manage. I can handle probably 3 expeditions, plus in-town activity, as long as I don't try to keep my posting rate at a strict 24 hour turnaround with everything.

If folks seem like they want to do more than 3 expeditions, it's probably only manageable if there's nobody left in town doing anything

It's one of the great things about the sprawling sandbox. We all have so much adventuring under our belts now that our "backstories" have been written by actual adventuring—and actual conflict between the characters.
