Chapter 07: Reunited again

Korin "Up them stairs should be tha way we came in from right Ox?"

[Dram]

Ox- agrees with Korin. That is the way out. Wasn't there a trap up ahead? Lets make sure it was not reset.

[Nordbo]

As the group stops to catch their breath (hauling Norbold is a heavy affair), Jacob (as NPC) agrees: "I will check for traps"

but Eddy interrupts him. "No need. I'll fix it" he says, and zips over to the helmet bell corner, fiddles with something, a <clik> is heard somewhere and he comes back saying "There. Done! Let's go"

[Dram]

OX- Smiles at Eddy. Good work. Eddy have you found everything you are looking for in this Cave?

[GreyWolfVT]

Korin not much for waiting around begins up the stairs "Thanks Eddy."

[Nordbo]

Good work. Eddy have you found everything you are looking for in this Cave?

Eddy Ragfist: "Yes indeed. The question is: have you ?"

[Dram]

Ox- Had thought about collapsing the entrance to the tunnel. Pay no mind we shall return when Norbold is better. Thus Wob needs to be delt with.

[Nordbo]

Going up the few steps out of the 'rat room', the group faces a last climb, up the sloping tunnel passage.
Croma Gung looks bewildered, Rickina disgusted (as usual) while Jacob (as NPC) sneaks along the right side and checks with Ox and Korin "You manage Norbold OK?".

Eddy takes one look back over the room they're exiting, as if he has heard something. Then he shakes his head, turns around and motions all to move, upwards. "Quick!"

Korin "Yah deaf aint I been sayin that all along quick not stop every five feet. Durned gnome."

[Dram]

Ox will quickly try to Norbold to the horses. Eddy quickly you and Regina get on Norbolds horse. Me or Korin will take Norbold.

[Nordbo]

As they start the long slow drag/climb up through the sloping passage towards the exit, Rickina snaps:"Horses ? What horses. I don't see any in this stinking tunnel. Have you been hit on the head by a goblin ?"

Eddy fills in: "Um, yeah. And...who's this gnome everyone refers to ? Have you got...invisible little friends? I usually see pink elephants meself he he" <hic>

multiple times you stated that Eddy was a gnome.

[Nordbo]

Uhm, nope, I didn't - sorry! But Korin did, 7 times, and Ox 3, a search reveals:

But it don't matter - in fact, unclear identities only work to Eddy's advantage on his current mission

The group straggles up the sloping passage and reach the crest. The square entrance opening is clearly visible up ahead, illuminated by the evening sun. Escape from these grungy pits is at last within reach.
Suddenly a rumble can be heard far down behind them, from where they just came. Croma Gung's injury-dimmed eyes open up wide with fear and he twists his neck to look over his shoulder. "Ugh no! Is that....the megalizard...?!?"

Rickina panics and rushes past everyone towards the opening. Eddy (now apparently very sober) urges all: "Hurry, hurry! To the edge! But stop there - stay on the edge!!"

[Dram]

Ox- Moves as fast as he can while carrying his unconscious friend. Come Korin we need to moves as fast as possible.

Korin still moving as fast as he can with the added weight of Norbold rushes as he has been ushering Eddy to do the entire time. "Told yah to get movin afore. Durned drunkard!"

[Nordbo]

Behind them, down in the dark, the noise increases: stamping, thuds, clanging, shouting. It is clearly a horde of angry somethings coming this way.

Eddy places himself by the eastern wall, and silently motions everyone to remain poised in the opening, and not to move.

Rickina whimpers like a poodle in a pond, Croma is balancing pretty precariously on the edge, while Jacob (as NPC) peers out over the wasteland.

"Wait" Eddie whispers.

"Wait...."

Korin tries to stay still while still helping to carry or hold Norbold and can do nothing to stop anyone from doing something foolish.

[Dram]

Ox- Trying to move the unconscious Norbold to a safe place. Regina can you hold Norbold Safely without letting him fall? I think my sword may be needed.

Korin suggests "Eh we can lay him down as bait like he's dead an you n I can fight if it is gobs."

[Dram]

OX puts Norbold down in the doorway. Okay be ready to pull him back if it is the big lizard.
